August 3, 200816 yr Thanks Chrysalis - he just couldn't resist could he  Rupert is probably very relieved it's all over - but what an achievement.
August 4, 200816 yr Yes munchkin it is a great achievement, and he's an example of what can be done. I admit I've never been a great admirer of Rupert, but I certainly admire his strength of character to come through the bad times. He's put his energies to good use, and I do so hope that others will continue to benefit.

With regards his problems, he did say he thought it was genetic and I believe an uncle suffered depression and committed suicide - so he may well have something there. Will also said he became very depressed during his time at uni - but I feel that was for a totally different reason. At least Rupert's come through it - it could have ended so differently, but it's not something that really goes away completely so it's just something he has to 'manage'. But at least he has now asked for help instead of keeping it to himself. A huge step forward.
