Posted June 5, 200817 yr A lovely trashy article from the Mirror to brighten your day. :P *** Last year's X Factor was full of tears, tantrums and tunes - and that was just between Shazza and Dannii. But already the new series has got off to a rocky start as Dannii Minogue has been the first judge to sign, seal and deliver her new ITV1 contract. In news that is sure to wind up her ugly rival judge Sharon Osbourne, the 36-year-old Aussie has negotiated a £500,000 pay rise, almost doubling her money. And just to rub it in, Dannii's made it a double triumph, scooping TV Personality of the year at last night's Glamour awards. She is also now tipped to get a guest slot on the next series of American Idol - again resulting in a bumper pay day. We're assured though that there's no bad feeling - and that Louis Walsh and Sharon are both about to return their own lucrative X Factor contracts. And, of course, Simon Cowell, is already confirmed as the final panellist. "Dannii is thrilled to be back," says our studio spy. "She's not concerned about the oestrogen battle between herself and Sharon - she's a big girl. "There may be tension between herself, Louis and Sharon but all three judges realise it's this electric chemistry that has given the show an edge. "The pay rise, taking her from around £400,000 per series to £900,000, is well-deserved. "Her act won the whole competition for starters, and ratings for the series were fantastic. And this year it looks like there'll be two shows a week - one on Saturday and one on Sunday night, so in effect she's doubling her hours. "Obviously Dannii is delighted that she's being taken seriously as a TV personality but in terms of X Factor, she is just determined to retain her crown. She's also been linked to American Idol but is still in the negotiating stages - nothing's been confirmed. In the meantime, Dannii can't wait to get cracking with next week's London auditions." Dannii stole the show at the Glamour awards last night, left, wearing a J'Aton Couture gown encrusted in Swarovski pearls and diamonds. We're surprised the tiny star made it up the red carpet without trip over her two-foot train. Other big winners at the annual glossy bash included British actress - and Victoria Beckham's new best friend - Kate Beckinsale who was named best actress. The Spice Girls were voted band of the year - despite disbanding after their recent world tour. Beth Ditto picked up international musician while Kelly Osbourne won Theatre actress of the year for her role in Chicago. Bet frog-face Shazza won't be sending Dannii a congrats card anytime soon... *** It's so good to see Dannii getting positive press these days. :D
June 6, 200817 yr Just before AGT started this year, Dannii had a radio interview with Kyle and Jackie'O (they also host the BB in Australia). Basically, when Kyle and Jackie'O asked her if there is any feud between her and Sharon after listening to the telephone interview with Sharon, Dannii simply said "It's unbelieveable. I love both of her faces!" :P
June 6, 200817 yr That made me laugh, thanks! Good on Dannii for staying with X-Factor and getting a pay rise, I think she's great on TV.
June 7, 200817 yr There will be no more drama anymore between Danni and Sharon. Sharon Osbourne has quit The X Factor. :o
June 8, 200817 yr Is she gone?? That's like... the best thing that could happen before my exams!
June 9, 200817 yr Yes, but I don't think so. Melanie B from the Spice Girls is in pole position for Sharon's place, and Simon is very keen to have her on the show.
June 9, 200817 yr Author ^ALL of that really is just tabloid rubbish. For all you know it could have 0% truth! :heehee: Never trust them, honestly. Melanie is aiming to release a new album in America in October time, so I very much doubt she'll be judging the X Factor...
June 9, 200817 yr other rumoured new judges include kylie herself, leon jackson and AMY WINEHOUSE all total poopy
