Posted June 6, 200817 yr Anyone remember these reprobates from MTV Europe in the mid 90s Beavis - Has an underbite and a fixated stare on his face, which is almost always shown in profile. Beavis grunts when he laughs, has a grainy, guttural voice and has a penchant for openly picking his nose. The more excitable of the two, he is oblivious of the obvious. He is often abused physically, either by Butt-head or other various characters whom he infuriates. He usually takes every beating and screams in pain before quickly reverting back to his trademark laugh. Butthead - Wears dental braces and has squinty eyes and a drooping nose with prominent nostrils. His top gums are often exposed due to a small upper lip, and he speaks nasally with a deep voice and a slight lisp. He begins almost every statement with "Uhhhhhh..." and ends with a short laugh. Calmer, cockier, and marginally more intelligent than Beavis, Butt-head is oblivious of subtleties, but is usually 100% confident in everything he says and does, no matter how ridiculous or frivolous it is. The designated "leader" of the duo, he derives pleasure from being regularly abusive to Beavis. WDpzbmHMcEQ And not forgetting Daria - Daria is a sarcastic, vaguely alt-rockerish, nerdy girl who attends Highland High with Beavis and Butt-head, and is one of the few people who sees the two for what they truly are. While not above taking jabs at them for their lack of intelligence, she also offers help and advice from time to time, and probably respects them a little more than most do. The duo nicknamed her "Diarrhea."
June 6, 200817 yr I hated them when they first came along but grew to love them. Their Christmas special is essential annual yuletide viewing!
June 7, 200817 yr i just thought they were annoying... which is what they were supposed to be yeah? but (like a 'drunk' comedian) its still annoying!
June 7, 200817 yr I was a bit like Richie, totally hated them to begin with, but grew to understand the joke, particularly when the film "Beavis and Butthead Do America" came out... "Daria" got her own show as well eventually, which was also pretty funny.. The guy who did "Beavis and Butthead" also eventually went on to do the superior "King of the Hill", a really quite brilliant observation of white trash America...
June 7, 200817 yr I was not a fan of Beavis & Butthead as they quickly declined into a parody of themselves, so the joke wore off very quickly. I much preferred the totally cynical protagonist Daria and her series for satirising American culture.
