She finally spoke about the new album last week:

 

"I’m busy working on my new album at the moment, it’s going to be edgier and pretty different to my old stuff. I hope it’ll be out later this year. I’ve also been doing a bit of acting and have been working on a short film. I can’t wait for the summer I’m planning on going to every festival that the Kings of Leon play at because I love them!"

Klaxons are supposedly recording a song with Natalie Imbruglia

 

According to the Daily Mirror, the London band have hooked up with the 'Torn' singer, although no details of the collaboration are forthcoming.

The newspaper quotes Imbruglia as saying, "We hope it's ready in time."

Klaxons are currently working on their second album, the follow-up to 2007's 'Myths Of The Near Future'.

I'm really excited by the Klaxons thing, if it comes to fruition. I was listening to Natalie's GH earlier when it came on my iTunes and I remembered just how good she is! :wub:

I was not expecting another single. At all. Can't wait for the video, Understand is one of my favourite tracks from TT.

im looking forward to a new album but my probelm with natalies reciord company is they never promote her albums properly so i hope they do this time round

Australian pop star NATALIE IMBRUGLIA has taken something positive from her split from rocker husband DANIEL JOHNS - their painful break up has given her music a major boost.

The Torn hitmaker admits that she makes her best records when she has experienced painful events in her life, and her impending divorce has given her plenty of material for her new album.

Imbruglia wrote her 1998 debut, Left of the Middle, about a broken heart and it went on to be a major international success.

Her two subsequent albums, made while she was happily married, have failed to emulate the success of her first record - debuting in the U.K. at number three and 12 respectively.

And she is convinced that her forthcoming third studio album, the follow up to last year’s (07) greatest hits compilation, will be her best work in years.

She says, "After a break from songwriting, my life experiences have really helped me to be more creative. I think when it comes to creativity, I am more inspired by suffering than happiness." Imbruglia and Silverchair frontman Johns split in January (08) after five years of marriage.

Natalie Imbruglia dates ex-con bad boy Chris Paciello

 

Natalie Imbruglia is dipping her dainty little toes back into the dating game.

At the top of her list of suitors is one of her mate Madonna's oldest friends - smooth-talking American nightclub entrepreneur Chris Paciello. Madge even helped set them up. She dated Chris - the owner of legendary Miami South Beach club Liquid - herself in the early 90s and got on the blower to put in a good word when she heard the couple had met at a private party last year.

Bad boy Paciello has criminal convictions - he was sentenced to seven years in prison back in 2000 after pleading guilty to charges of murder and armed robbery in Staten Island, New York in 1993.

But Madge, who is in talks with Paciello about making a movie based on his colourful life, re-assured the ex-Neighbours star he had his life back on the straight and narrow. When I caught up with the Torn singer last week, she was coy but confirmed: "Chris and I were introduced through Kevin Spacey's manager and we have been out a few times.

"We go out when I'm in LA. He's sweet and funny, but I don't want to say any more than that."

Paciello, 37, is a pro when it comes to attracting beautiful women like Nat - his ex-girlfriends include Naomi Campbell and Jennifer Lopez.

But male readers will be pleased to hear Chris is staying put in LA to get his film project moving, while Natalie is in London for the forseeable future. Although she has been flying out to LA, it's early days and gorgeous Natalie, 33, has no shortage of male attention this side of the pond.

She also told me over drinks: "I'm writing a new album with Jamie Reynolds from The Klaxons. It's going well, as Jamie has been an inspiration. I expect we'll be in the studio for another couple of months."

Perhaps if things don't go well with Chris, Nat might consider making a little more than just sweet music with Jamie...
