Posted May 30, 200619 yr Credit: Music Week Channel 4 is to air a new music show, featuring live performances, interviews and street gigs. Transmission with T-Mobile will debut on Friday June 16 and will run for twelve weeks in a late evening slot. The line up for the first show includes Dirty Pretty Things, The Kooks and Lily Allen. Each week the show will be broadcast from a different city in the UK, including Cardiff, London and Manchester, in front of an invited audience. Lauren Laverne and Steve Jones will present. Channel 4 commissioning editor Neil McCallum says, "Transmission with T-Mobile is the perfect addition to an already comprehensive roster of music programming on Channel 4. As well as bringing established acts to the viewers, the show will also provide a platform for new music to breakthrough into the mainstream."
