Paul McCartney Planning 'Last Big Tour'

ShowbizSpy.com By Adam Nutburn, June 8 2008

Music legend Sir Paul McCartney is planning a massive farewell tour, it was claimed today.

According to Britain's Sunday Mirror newspaper, the former Beatle, 65, is set to announce a hundred-date stretch over two years. He will then retire from large-scale international touring to spend more time with his 4-year-old daughter with ex-wife Heather Mills, Beatrice.

A source reveals, "Paul explained that this tour will be the last big one. He wants to settle down and enjoy Beatrice's childhood.

"The tour will be the last time he performs in many parts of the world. Beatrice and his family life are going to come first. He does not want to be away for months at a time."

Paul last week played a gig to 36,000 fans in his native, Liverpool.

Would you be interested in seeing Paul on a farewell tour or not?

Well since I have never seen him live, it might well be the last opportunity to see him.

Don't know if he will come as far north to near me, but we'll see.

If he does I just might.

My 2 favourite artists of all time were The Beatles and David Bowie, seen Bowie( a long time ago  ) no chance of seeing The Beatles, but Paul is the next best thing.

I would be tempted. I would imagine that he would perform at outdoor stadiums as opposed to indoor venues such as NEC etc. It would be good if he did a gig in the Midlands. It always seems that when stars do the stadiums, they so often miss out Birmingham, choosing Manchester, Cardiff etc :(

I've seen Macca twice, once on his Flowers In The Dirt/Tripping The Live Fantastic tour 1989/90 & again on his Off The Ground/Looking For Changes Tour 1993.

I've only seen him once, at the Brits (thanks Wish FM!) and he was awesome (still not that fond of him personally - but I'm sure he doesn't think much of me either! )
