Posted May 30, 200619 yr The article is headed Simon comes over all charitable and Darius does too. Stars lend Human rights charity a hand. Simon cowell and Darius Danesh are just two of the celebs fronting a new campaign for Amnesty International UK. The former sparring partnmers have been photographed for a new exhibition that gives us a glimpse into their glamerous LA lives. The protect the human exhibition opens on the lst june at the hospital gallery in london and also features gordon ramsey, courtney love and jamie theakston showing their concern over issues like violence against women and the arms trade, visit www.protectthehuman.com There is a picture of Darius standing fully dressed in the water up t his waist of what could be a lake or pool holding a banner above his head saying stop violence against women
May 31, 200619 yr Thanks, Preston. I can't say I understand the connection between the image and the message at all. It would be interesting to see the other photos in the campaign. Maybe one needs all the parts for the whole to make any sense.
May 31, 200619 yr I've seen the article now. Nice little picture of Darius. He's wearing a T-shirt with praying hands clutching a rose. Nice touch. Lovely pool too. The picture is captioned " Darius feels so strongly about this he was prepared to get very wet." Was Simon photographed in LA? He's wearing what seems to be a fairly heavyweight jumper and he looks like he's fed up waiting for the photographer to get his shot.
May 31, 200619 yr Author I wonder if anyone in the london area wil get to the exhibition, would be interesting to hear what the other photographs are like.
June 1, 200619 yr I'm sure that Jan won't mind bringing the picture over from .net that she scanned: http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/6047/heatd0no.jpg
June 1, 200619 yr I'm still puzzled as to why Amnesty International UK should decide to have a campaign featuring UK celebs and then go all the way to LA to take pictures. Why Darius? There must be loads in the UK who are more high profile at the moment than Darius. I wondered if their choice was down in part to using celebs without any known political bias - celebs who are strong-minded and media savvy enough to side swerve questions they don't want to answer and who sometimes manipulate the direction of interviews to say what they want to say. Darius is certainly one of those. I also wondered if the media's myth of Simon and Darius being old enemies had an influence with the message being look at how just our message is and how widespread our support is - we've got these two on the same side.

I wonder if it's an association that may happen in the future, and this is the first of many things showing them at the same event/supporting the same thing etc. I wonder.......
