Hmm. What shall I do? I've got the votes from Joanne now and the first semi final is even closer. As in 13th and 14th have the same amount of points. Shall I be brutal and do the most 12s, then most 10s etc rule or should I be nice and let them both through? It depends what the people from the other semi final think mostly.

I haven't gone back over all the votes though so there may be some mistakes. But if there aren't what should I do?

Well there will be 27 participants in the Final on normal terms right? I don't see why it couldn't be 28, it's a far nicer number. I thought 27 was a bit of an odd number myself....

personally, I'd chop one of them out...otherwise you'd have to let the 14th placed act from Semi-Final 2 in to make it fair too

Yeah, that's why I wanted to hear what other people thought.

I would say the same if it was semi-2 that had this situation to be honest

13 semi finalists from each one + you is fair, if I was hosting I would have had 12 semi finalists plus the winner to take it to a total of 25 songs, so I think 27 is more than enough

The same here, go to the countback rule that Eurovision use to decide the 13th placed song for SF1.

I think the first rule is who got points from more countries than the more 12s, 10s, etc. :teresa:

btw I think you should be brutal, 13 is enough from each semi...if the 14th is not me :kink:

Yeah do the most 12s, tens rule to determine who goes through. ^_^

Ok, I'll let the top 13 according to the most 12s, 10s etc. rule through. It's a shame because the song in 14th was my favourite in that group. :o
Yeah that's for the best.....otherwise there'll just be people argueing..............I just hope that 14th person isn't me. :P

Is the first criteria not the song that has points from more countries before the individual 12s and 10s are counted? Personally I think that is fairer.

And dammit. I know I'm 14th.

It all goes down to whether you think little but widespread or concentrated popularity is more popular :o

Obviously widespread.

I think the song that is popular with more people definitely deserves to get through above the song more favoured among fewer people.

Ten sets of one point is better than one 10 point. It means more have considered the song worthy of a top ten placing.
