Posted June 15, 200817 yr I think its 2 years tomorrow anyway or maybe it was last week? Round about this time anyway... 2 years since Loose was released :o Bloody hell its f***ing flew! Do you remember your first thoughts on the album? Did you embrace the new direction, do tell <3
June 15, 200817 yr Author Well as a lover of Furtado since "I'm Like A Bird" i was very :( about the whole thing tbh. I remember hearing Maneater and thinking WHAT THE f***. 2 listens later it became absolutely epic  The greatest comeback ever maybe? The album however was very blah with me for sometime. It did grow though eventually. Track 8 was my favourite from first listen and still is. This is of course Say It Right  I'm becoming Nelly obsessed again :(
June 16, 200817 yr Maneater came on telly once, I thought it was sooooooooo good, and then it said it was "Nelly Furtado" I was like "OMFG Bird Woman!" :/ I hadn't been her biggest fan, but Whoa Nelly was out when I was 9 so I never bothered with her really, I was happy enough with S Club  I bought Loose because I heard Promiscuous in France, but I didn't know what it was and I thought it was ACE, I came home and it was her :w00t: So I ran to WHSmith and bought it :heehee: Again, like Ryan, the album was a bit meh when I first heard it, especially between Promiscuous and Say It Right, All Good Things stood out first for me
June 16, 200817 yr i loved everything about it- apart from No Hay Igual and Let my hair down- both vile! All in all, i loved it!
June 18, 200817 yr I miss Nelly and the Loose Era so much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 20, 200817 yr Author The longer the era went on the more i grew fond of it. She has changed alot but really if you look into it in greater depth its not so drastic. She still kept elements of her old material. She changes with everyone album so it was pretty much expected. Whoa Nelly >>> Sweet Folkore >>>>> Serious Loose >>>>> Sexy Next album? >>>> What S i wonder? :o
June 22, 200817 yr I remember Promiscious and No Hay Igual leaked and I was like "Nelly Furtado " Then I heard Maneater.....I didn't even care that she went in a new direction...
June 26, 200817 yr When I heard Maneater for a first time, I thought something like "Nelly, what are you doing?" but now, two years later I think that she made a right decision. She is brilliant! Because of Loose I discovered also Folklore and Whoa, Nelly! Because of Loose I understood, that she can sing what she wants and it will be great. :) Amazing, 2 years have passed since the release of Loose, but radio still play songs from this album and Say It Right is best song EVER!! June 26, 200817 yr god it has went fast hasn't it. tbh the first time I heard Maneater I remember thinking it was one of the worst songs ever, But I love it now, and Loose is the only album I have of hers so far.
June 26, 200817 yr Hey, you are fast with answers! Love it! I hope that I will enjoy my stay here. I though the same. When I heard Loose first, I thought that it is a piece of c**p, but now - it is really a masterpiece of Nelly and Timbo... Edited June 26, 200817 yr by Twainman
June 30, 200817 yr At first, I totally hated it. Not the music, but the new Nelly mainly  It didn't fit But I adore it now
July 1, 200817 yr I loved the Loose era. The only thing that i didn't like was all the confusing single choices and the fact they made Say it Right download only :( i know they had their reasons, but still... :( Can't wait for her new stuff :yahoo:
July 22, 200816 yr I think if Loose was released today it wouldn't have been as successful as in 2006
August 21, 200816 yr I didn't buy it until I heard 'Say It Right' f***ing loved the album on first listen TBH.
