No, she wasn't canned.

 

Jamelia & Parlophone (her former label) were not on good terms at all during the 'Walk With Me' era. While the first two singles were promoted heavily, the album itself received very little promotion at all. Jamelia wasn't happy. The forced release of "No More" was the icing on the cake which led her to walk away from her record label of 10 years.

 

As of now, Jamelia is currently working on new material. She's been recording in New York and we know she's been working with Shea Taylor & Scyience who have produced hits for the likes of Rihanna, Beyoncé, John Legend, Janet Jackson and Jay-Z. It'll be released next year and she says expect "the real Jamelia" this time round.

 

There's been no confirmation as to which record label she's on, or if she's even found one yet, but she mentioned in a Podcast a couple of months ago about being excited about a label meeting and thinks they're the right team of people.

It's not like Jamelia will be without a record contract.

I cant wait for her comeback.

i was *this* close to not buying the GH, but my collection would look stupid if i had everything else BUT that.

 

i haven't listened to it since i got it. i just use my own.

 

it took me 10 minutes to make that cover, and would probably have took someone who's a professional 5 mins.

 

the tracklisting was awful, too. it offered nothing new for the fans at all.
