He makes the most of the fact that no one would ever hit him or shout at him. I think he has us just where he wants us.

The dog whom I used to walk for my neighbour was a rescue dog and he had been badly treated and he wouldn't bark, although he was physically able to.
OIurs very seldom barks. he wont keep hold of anything you touch either and is terrified if a child cries near him. He expects to be hit.
It's terrible when people do such psychological damage to dogs by mistreating them so badly.
And there are a great many not known about.
I should be out enjoying this glorious day but I have to send an e-mail or two and I wanted to drop in and have fun chatting to everyone here.
Ah, but we have a gentle breeze today. I was looking over the city from a hill top crescent this morning on my way back from the lunch club. Several of the factories in the industrial estate have their own energy windmills on their roofs and they were going around surprisingly fast.
I'm going to have a bath - I'm just wso hot and sticky. The nice cool breeze will, of course, be waiting for me to get out of the bath. Thinking about it - then it'll probably snow.

Thoughts can be powerful things.

Well I'll think of your snow as lovely, fluffy white clouds floating across a beautiful clear blue sky.

I have tried to stay in over this very hot period.... indoors is so much cooler.

I'm not a sun worshipper by any means but I do like to go out for a while in the sunshine.

This place faces south-west and one side is always cooler than the other. The bedrooms get the sunshine in the morning and then the living room does in the afternoon and early evening, as the sun moves round.

Ours is similar, we get the morning sun on the back, the dining room, and the afternoon/evening sun on the front,

the lounge. So I can usually find a cool spot thank goodness. I bought a large fan two years ago, but it never got

assembled. Last year it was never warm enough, just rain, rain, rain. I had forgotten about it till now! I expect if

I get it out, the weather will break.

We had some spectacular thunder early morning.

Still pouring down....which is great for me as I'm off to bed

I never thought I would say it, but I'm so pleased it rained heavily in the early hours. I felt so stifled over the last

few days. Everything has freshened up, even the bedding plants have sat up again. Thought they were going to

wilt away.

Thought they were going to bed? It's breezy here, very nice. Going to do my father-in-law's lunch now.
