We're all busy little bees at the same time. Hope everything goes well for you all.

Do you know Preston, I've been in France every year since Eurodisney opened and I've never been. I have been to the one in Orlando and the plan of the Paris site looks exactly the same. It's expensive but it really does live up to its billing for kids - it is their wonderland.

I expect I would have been much more impressed with it, if there had been young kids in our party.

God willing, we may go there during our Christmas shopping week in Paris this year. They say the parade in Winter is quite spectacular.

I must find out about the Parc Asterix. I should think it will be along the same lines but with a French twist.

I too hope Meg is coping....the silence is worrying.

Hubby is loading the car for yet another run to the refuse depot. Don't know how we would manage without it.

We are cutting down several of the very overgrown shrubs.....great when our girls and then the grandchildren

were playing hide and seek and other games, but no longer needed so huge. It's certainly opening up the garden.

I'm always nervous about pruning and I often wonder if the plants would be more robust if I was a bit more courageous.

We don't have good soil - very heavy sticky clay soil in fact. I don't know what to do to make it better. I remember my father used to double dig it each Winter and at some point he added bone meal. I chipped all the side garden and just fill container with annuals and bulbs and things but I would like to do more with my garden than I do.

I've left it so long now waiting for this roof to be done that it's now more or less a blank canvas. It'll give me a nice exciting project for Spring/Summer 2009.

And an awful lot of very hard work. I think for your type of soil lime is recommended. I refer to Dr D.G.Hessayon's

Garden Expert set of books quite often. I bought a set for each of my daughters when they set up their own homes,

and they have found these very helpful. The books are sold singly..... The Garden Expert is the basic one that covers

most things. The rest are specialised, The Flower Expert, The Container Expert, The Lawn Expert, etc. When you buy

new plants it is a good tip to look at neighbouring gardens to see which plants do well in your area.

Thanks, Bramley. I'll look out for those. I could do some reading and research just now.

I'm going out now to post some letters and shop for my cats - litter and food. After that, I'll be waiting for the phone to ring, ready to grab my Mrs Mop outfit and head off to do some deep cleaning.

The school holidays have flown by so quickly. Hope Neil is sorted now, Pam. Only one more week and the children

will be back at school.

...............and yet it seems an absolute age since I last saw Darius in June.

I guess a few people feel the same judging from the "I wish he'd hurry up" and such like comments.

It's only been ten weeks and Darius would surely have needed a complete break after all the hard work he put into GWTW, before he could take stock of what he was doing late 2007 and maybe he'd need time to arrange to link up with his US "Pete" and finish what they had been working on.

It does seem like a long time since we saw him but I realise its not and that he does need a break. I am busying myself with going to other shows and am looking forward to seeing glyn kerslake in concert as he has a great voice and no sniggers please!!! I am going to see Jane mcdonald in concert early september. I didnt go last year and was sorry I didnt because someone I know who was dragged there said it was brilliant, she had a full orchestra with grand piano etc and her new album is at no.7 in the charts so she has done well for herself but of course its not like seeing D. just wish it was him in that position. Would you rather D released an album with some covers than not release, I know I would especially if it included some of the numbers he has spoofed but done straight like american pie, the time of my life, etc.

I wouldn't care if Darius released as many covers as he wanted, but I think it's a point upon which he's very stubborn, so in reality, I think the number of covers we can expect on his album amount to zero.

For Darius, his music isn't just songs to sing. It's an integral part of him, it's his way of expressing the very deepest of emotions. It's his valve which allows him to remain what I can only describe as "serene" in the face of people and situations which would drive others potty and cause them to explode, get addicted or fall into depression.

Perthaps that's why I use those songs or lyrics from them as emotional support at times when I'm uncertain - eg if I really want to do something but I'm nervous that it will not turn out, Dive In usually comes into my head and I give the thing a go with a happy heart. Even if I do make a bit of a dogs dinner of it, I've had an experience I wouldn't have had. Journey's End reminds me that people are the most important thing in my life and reminds me to break down the British reserve and be more open with friends and family.

I would certainly buy cds of covers, if he did them, as I love his voice.

But I would always know that it wasn't what he really wants to do.

He could have been down that road....and perhaps been very sucessful....but how long would it last with 'new stars' singing covers.

I'm happy waiting to see what he is going to do next......I like a mystery :D

Just realised this is the 'what should you be doing' thread.....could we take the discussion over to the 'Interchange thread' please....thanks

Don't know where all the others are, but I've been spending very enjoyable but very tiring days out with

the grandchildren, here, there and everywhere, clocking up the miles, visiting tourist attractions. Hope

the good weather holds, though I have my doubts.

Glad you had a good time with your grandchildren Bramley. I just seem to have been busy, catching up with friends. Got home last night just after midnight, so was about 1am when I got to bed.

I should be cleaning the bathroom, kitchen and toilet, doing the hoovering and a mountain of washing.

I can see why you are on here then

Yes, but someone has to do it and that someone is me. Now I should be making my sandwiches and getting ready for work.
