Why am I starting to feel as if I'm in reception class again?

My motto is going to be 'if it works, let well alone.

And if it doesn't, kick it!'

I hope it was good news, Meg, and that they've removed it all this time.

Sorry,Meg, I thought you were referring to your cousin. I've just gone on to the next thread and realised you were

talking about your father-in-law. It's shameful that you couldn't get a doctor to come out to save all the trauma of

a stay in hospital. As a last resort you could sign him out, but that might work against you. I hope the hospital is

allowing you extended visiting hours, and I hope he will soon be back home with you. Until then try not to worry

too much, They will be taking good care of him.

In between the heavy showers, trying to trim the shrubs. Why is it that weeds and shrubs can grow so quickly.

Can't keep pace. Hope Meg and Dave are coping.

I should be working on a story but I'm watching the free concert from Buckingham Palace and looking to see if I can spot my daughter in the crowd.
Having a coffee break. Then back to the gardening. What an exciting life I lead!!!!!

I'm waiting for a phone call again to find out if my sister-in-law and my brother need me as chauffeuse and to help with their son's flat.

I suppose I better get some lunch too.

Were your chauffeuring skills needed BT?

I should be putting washing away but I can't be bothered.

Still stuck with the gardening! Interspersed with exciting trips to the refuse depot to deposit clippings, etc.

One down, one to go.

One nephew's flat has had to be prepared for rental because he's staying on in his job abroad and paying two mortgages even with his parent's help is a bit too pricey. That's what I've been doing of late. His brother has decided to move with his partner to a new flat in Airdrie which is nearer their work and we've been rushing up and down there too doing stripping, plastering and painting so far.

Thank goodness I'm off to the Lake District from Friday to Monday.

Hope the weather will be better than last time you went. Your nephews are very lucky to have someone to do all

the hard work for them....hope they appreciate it.

I'm always happy to help out. That's our family - nothing ever comes along singly.

I had the gas boiler checked today. At least it's fine, although they were of course recommending that I upgraded to a new more efficient one.

We were advised to keep the one we have for as long as possible....an honest man! It seems the newer condenser ones

easily break down as there are lots of bits that can stop working. My daughter has had a lot of trouble with her boiler.

It must be catching we have been having trouble with our heating system and the boiler. We are also like Baytree up and down to my sons house who is having an extension built and it is chaos, mud everywhere and I am helping with their washing as she doesnt have a line up at the present whilst this is going on. My daughter and her family are this week at euro disney Paris. she phoned me yesterday morning and it was as clear as a bell much clearer than when she is home. It is busy down here as this week is regatta for both Torquay and Dartmouth with the red arrows for both. I hope meg has the problems with father in law sorted, it is a worry.
