Sorry, I can't hear. I've gone down to the bottom of the garden again to try and find worms. Trouble is, it's too cold for them and they're hiding.
Better stop looking now and concentrate on that CV.
I'm making the most of an afternoon off work before a hectic weekend. Glad to have got my weekly food shopping out of the way. Have to be at the hospital with my daughter at 7.30am tomorrow (she's having her nose cauterised under anaesthetic). Then a funeral to go to on Sunday - back to work Monday.
Well, that makes my life look exciting. It sounds like a nightmare. Hope you are all OK.
We're fine, thanks though my hubby is a bit upset. The person who died is the wife of an old friend and ex-business partner. She was 57 and died during an operation to remove a brain tumour.

That's awful. I know more people that have survived a brain tumour than have died but it is an awful complaint to have even if you do survive. Give issy my sympathy, please.

That must have been a dreadful shock.

Hope your daughter is not too worried about the cauterisation. ( Probably Mum is worried more?)

An awful weekend for you all.

My daughter is weird - I think she is quite looking forward to it. She actually asked to have a blood test. The only thing she is not keen on is having to wait around until it is her turn - too boring.

Thanks, I'm sure it will. The worst will be dragging her out of bed at 5am.
That would be not nice - and then her having to wait for ages when she could have been curled up in bed.
And she is moaning about missing coffee. Well, I'd better go and wake her up.
I'm off to the shops. Spam's asleep (should be that is) and managed to see the shuttle launch.

I'll have to go out too although it's blowing a gale.

I'm sorry I stopped posting last night so suddenly but I had dreadful news about a dear friend I thought went into hospital, awaiting a gall bladder operation - she's not ......her kidneys and liver are riddled with cancer and she only has days to live. I was shocked to the core. Still am.

It is so upsetting. I hate hearing news like that. Will you get to say goodbye? You can't even hope when this happens. Obviously her family and friends have my sympathy - not that that helps at all.

I do hope so, megham. I'm hoping to go on Monday after the lunch club, if general visitors are still allowed.
