And I don't think you would want to paddle back here, with the cold weather.

I've always thought it must be disconcerting to move to live in another country, not knowing which are the poisonous

snakes, spiders, etc, and which are the harmless ones. You could make a complete fool of yourself calling for backup

for a harmless little creature.

Waiting for me.....how kind http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v78/1PamP/smilies/brr.gif
It'll feel colder just because you'ved been somewhere warm. I always find where you live cold and there's not that much of a difference.
Whiteover this morning Spam. Hope you've got your thermals ready!
Frosty morning. Very cold but bright this afternoon. It's the dark, miserable days I can't stand, when it never really gets light. Sue
I love the clean, fresh air. Not so keen on wind combined with rain or sleet though.

I love crisp, frosty leaves underfoot. But most of today we've had a dismal. low-lying frost-fog, which lifted for only a short time.

This year the fallen leaves seem to have skipped the dry, crunchy time. They've become wet and slimy very quickly, due, I

suppose, to the very late but then sudden leaf-fall.

I've lost all track of what I should be doing.

I just seem to be going from one crisis to another recently. I guess that's life. I had it very good for a long time.

On Wednesday I got the news that a scan revealed that my eldest sister has a tumour. Today they did a closer check with the camera under general anaesthetic.

I hope she's Ok. BT. Just remember, a tumour is treatable and there are a lot more people end up Ok than not. I'll send my positive thoughts out. Shame we haven't got bramley's purple flowers.

I'm sorry to hear about your sister,BT. Does she live close enough to visit ?

You do seem to be having a run of bad luck. Let's hope the tumour is benign, or at least operable.

Thanks. Yes, she lives in Glasgow too.

She's in the hospital where her youngest daughter was a ward sister, until she moved to Canada, so she knows some of the nurses personally. It's also the same hospital where Booth was a consultant.

I know it could be something or nothing...........back to wait and see.

I hope your sister will be ok BT.

I should go to bed.

I shouldn't, Nina. I don't think the dog would be happy if I did. BT. Positive thinking is essential. I know you've had a bad year (has anyone not had a bad year this year?) but it really helps.

Hope things turn out alright for your sister BT. Like Meg says, try to stay positive, but I know that's easier said than done.

I should be ironing, but I can't be bothered. Sue

I should be cooking but while I want to eat, I don't actually want to go down and cook.

Thinking about you and your sister BT.....as you've already been advised....do try to stay possitive.
And please bring some warm sunshine home with you.
