Well, I forgot the racks of rib for dinner. I'm going out again now.

I'm just in and it is warm and I really don't want to go out again but I promised to look after my brother's cats tonight and tomorrow.

I do miss my cats. They were such great personalities.

.............and I miss having a dog. I have to talk myself out of getting one several times a year.

I will really miss mine when he dies. i hope it's not for a long time. He hasn't had another fit.

She is but working nights.

Haven't gone out at all today. The weather is awful. It snowed really heavily last night, several inches. Of course everything came to a stand still this morning, hardly any trains and roads, even motorways, closed. The gritters hadn't been out and the roads were lethal. It took my son over four hours to get from Bolton to the other side of Manchester this morning by rail. It usually takes him about an hour.He sat at the station from six fifty until almost eight thirty before he even saw a train and then there were signal problems. Goodness knows when we'll see him tonight! Sue

It hd snowed lightly here then thawed then frozen up again. The streets just looked wet. I thought it had been raining but it was black ice. The main roads were fine but the side roads were like glass. The pavements were an absolute disgrace here.

 

I took my car out locally and got into two difficult situations both - one brake planing and one skid going up a hill.

 

I decided not to risk driving to the hospital and ordered a taxi which turned up 40 minutes late. Thank goodness I always allow plenty of time to get anywhere I'm going.

We've had sunshine but my Mum couldn't get out because of the snow.

We've had thick black ice. I've not been out all day.

I hate ice. I'd have been staying in if we had that here.
