ELTON JOHN smashing in at number 1, in 92. The following week, music from the ITV series "HEARTBEAT" knocked him off. EARTHRISE was an artists, charity album for an RSPCA type charity. SIMPLY RED were still going up, and down all year long!! Greatest hits all over the chart for DR HOOK, ALEXANDER O` NEAL, and also TOM JONES (who was just outside the 20). QUEEN: LIVE AT WEMBLEY was a vintagelive performance by the great group, released after the death, of the brilliant FREDDIE MERCURY. GUNS N` ROSES also had the first "USE YOUR ILLUSION", just outside the top 20, as well as the second one, inside. DEL AMITRI, and FAITH NO MORE both had a few singles in 92, and an album, a-piece the the chart. ANNIE LENNOX, U2, SHAKESPEARS SISTER`s albums, were long runners. UGLY KID JOE covered some other people`s songs, as well as there own, and the CURE were in, too.

ERASURE covering 4 ABBA songs, at number one, in 92. HEARTBEAT in it`s first series, and NICK BERRY everywhere! RICHARD MARX hung around the chart, for ages. UTAH SAINTS, the first time round...Early days for TAKE THAT doing a TAVARES 1975, U.S. hit...THE ORB surprising a few with a toptenner...KRIS KROS drove us nuts, with "JUMP"..ELTON JOHN took the title track, from the Album...MARIAH sang Jacko...It was the return of DIANA ROSS 91 - 92...GUNS N` ROSES sang BOB DYLAN...CYNDI LAUPER was on the verge of disappearing (until the re-worked "Girls Wanna Have Fun", the following year...DEF LEPPARD, MEGA DEATH, MESSIAH, and THE MISSION gave us the slightly heavier stuff, along with the MANICS... loose ends Re-hashed an 85 hit...INCOGNITO covered a STEVIE WONDER song, from 1974...THE CURE were quite well played, with "Friday I`m In Love". ) Position without downloads alone...without downloads alone 34 is URBNRI, 35 is POTBELLEEZ, 36 is INFADELS, 37 is ONE REPUBLIC (STOP AND STARE), 38 is NELLY, 39 is JESSIE MCCARTNEY and 40 is BRYN CHRISTOPHER.

= Is the position in Chart Show tv`s chart. Subways are 37, on there.

2,000 copies seperating Number 1, and 2. I think it could well be NE YO next week, with the physical out then. The rest of the top 5, today is very close. Outside the 50 are INFADELS at 54, POTBELLEEZ at 52, and URBNRI at 51. While FIX YOU - COLDPLAY, LYNRYD SKYNRD, and ESTELLE - NO SUBSTITUTE LOVE hit the top 70. Losers this week were JORG SCHMID, and the RASCALS, PRESETS, NATASHA MARSH...and PANIC AT THE DISCO.

Next week, look out for singles from Mariah Carey, N Force/Darren Styles, Glas Vegas, Denise Lopez, Weezer, and Courteeners. On the album front, look out for Chris Brown (the Forever edition, of Exclusive), Jonas Brothers, Sigur Ros, Cortes, Natasha Marsh, and compilations True Hardcore, and Beach Angel 3.

NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL CHART...It is compiled from Chart Show tv`s chart, with added sales, to bring it up to date, by sales from stores and download sites, today. Chart Show tv, play`s the chart on Saturdays 4 - 7.30pm, and Thursdays 7 - 9pm.

Ne Yo...next week`s Number One? Looking like, another biggy for Madonna (July 14th)...and possibly a number one, for Kylie in July...with this joint Freemasons, venture?

NeYo will defintely get a #1 next week with Physicals on his side, Coldplay have no chance, I'm just worried Madonna might lose out to Busta Rhymes, the track seems to be doing well on downloads.

It be great for Kylie to have a #1 she hasn't had one for a long time, the Freemasons mix might just do it.
