August 2, 200816 yr I don't think I can add anything, spamfritter. Maybe if I don't think about it, something else will just pop into my head, but it's unlikely.
August 3, 200816 yr  that's terrible Meg. I'll leave them a little bit to see if anyone comes up with anything then I'll post them on the first post....if you all agree....
August 3, 200816 yr Author 'Fraid I have no other recall of words. I think the others have done very well to recall as much as they have.
August 3, 200816 yr I find I'm humming them as I walk the dog - but, up to now, there are words I just can't get.
August 31, 200816 yr Posted on broadwayworld.com today GONE WITH THE WIND Song List? Posted On: 8/30/08 at 11:59 PM Could someone who saw the show kindly post a song list? Or please link me to a thread that has the complete song list? I tried searching for it with "Gone With the Wind songs" and came up with nothing. Thanks in advance!

August 31, 200816 yr Author On page one of this thread I listed all the songs from GWTW in the order they were sung in the show. Hope this helps, Preston. The list is from the 'Gone with the Wind(musical)' entry in Wikipedia, which also gives a lot of other information on the show. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gone_with_the_Wind_(musical) Edited August 31, 200816 yr by Bramley
August 31, 200816 yr Author From the Broadwayworld.com site The tune for Wings of a Dove was recorded on the OBC of Ragtime under the title Wheels of a Dream - how prophetically derivative of Flaherty and Ahrens! The tune for the Reconstruction song was recorded on the OLC of The Witches of Eastwick under the title I Love a Little Town... Also a link ;- There wasn't a songlist in the programme but there are some detailed descriptions on this thread: http://westend.broadwayworld.com/board/rea...p;thread=962692 Edited August 31, 200816 yr by Bramley
August 31, 200816 yr Sorry I am not a member of that site nor do I want to be. Not prepared to get in slanging matches. I just thought it was interesting that someone was wanting to know and why. The last time I was there was over the picture with the kilt where a few of us had a go.
September 2, 200816 yr I remember that Preston - they'd obviously never seen Darius on a theatre stage in any role but they were intent on influencing everyone against him in any way they could from the first moment his casting was announced. Maybe they shouldn't have nailed their flag so stongly to the mast because they looked just a tad silly when the reviews of GWTW started coming in. One American board member, posted a long but not entirely positive review of an early preview. He didn't mention Darius so the dear boys obviously thought he wasn't that good and thought they could more fun at his expense. When they enquired how he was, they got their answer - "phenomenal"! When the official reviews followed, they mainly agreed. Edited September 2, 200816 yr by Baytree
September 19, 200816 yr Author Now Meg is back, may I suggest that the illustrated songs be pinned if no-one can remember any more words.
October 4, 200816 yr Author I've resurrected this thread. Should the illustrated song words be pinned?
October 4, 200816 yr would be nice to have the songs with the videos pinned..or would it be a good idea to merge the two threads, we have one pinned already with the videos. So busy at present, thst I cannot think what would be best..but we do need the words and videos at hand together.
October 4, 200816 yr The trouble with merging the post slot between the ones in the thread you've merged with making reading the thread rather difficult. I can easily pin this and I could add the video links to the front posts....what do you think ...or I could do a new thread pinned with the words and the videos.... October 4, 200816 yr I think I'd prefer the latter, spamfritter, but I'll go along with the consensus.
