I can't. The characters weren't all in view each time and I couldn't catch who sang what - apart from Mrs Meade for that bit and Mrd Elsing/Ellen for the War was just a game/life never the same

Thanks. I was sure Susannah Fellows was one of them. She has a lovely voice and seems to be an accomplished actress.

After Darius/Jill and Natasha, Susannah, Jeff Shankley and Ian Conningham were my favourite cast members

The life I used to know is gone

And gone beyond recall

But how the flames were fanned

I really do not understand at all

But what I learned from this

and learned the hardest way

Is that Tomorrow is another day

How can we reach the light

In darkness where we live

How can we make a future

Be a gift we want to give

Can blessings not be shared

Will that day ever come

When freedom reaches every life

Not just the lives of some

We should recall the past

Though it must not return

It forged the chains that held us down.

and so we all must learn

To make a better world

Whoever may have sinned

The future calls, the past is Gone,

Gone, Gone, Gone with the wind

This is how I heard it - though there were so many changes, we could all be right.

Isn't it hard though? We should have done this while the show was still running - then we could ask the cast.
We were almost as shocked as they were by the sudden closure notice. Our thoughts were for them, not on preserving our memories.

I know - especially Jill. Darius bounces, Jill had her life's dream crushed. Both were upset but Jill was distraught. In the last week, she found the end peices hard to sing through her tears. It made an unfair end to a great show even worse. I'm glad she has a new role. She certainly prooved she was a brilliant actor. As did the cast (including Darius) I don't think it could be bettered.

I think I may have said all that before but, it still really bothers me. I loved 'Chicago' but i can't understand why GWTW folded and 'Chicago' carries on. I really like it and would go and see it again but, it just doesn't compare well with GWTW.

Jill's new part sounds like a more emotional one than she might have had after Curtains without GWTW. It looks like she has made the move from ingenue into more demanding character roles. I'd like to read more of the synopsis of ACE to find out. Her world is the theatre and I'm glad she's back doing what she loves.

It gets a bit confusing when they all start harmonising, I'm not sure there are any different words after what I've got. I think they just countersing some of the ones in my last post and ad lib. I'm sure at some point I saw/heard Ray Shell sing "Teach them!" too.
I don't know about later but early versions of 'Wings of a Dove' had 'All men strive for feedom from the moment they are born' although it may have been cut in later ones.

I'm pleased you can remember so much between you. My mind is a total blank as regards the words.

Maybe it's "strive" where I've put "fight" then. I put birth because it rhymes with earth ( sort of)

It could be either or both depending on when it was heard. The first time I saw GWTW there were just so many songs that I came out with an idea of them but not in detail. The second time I came out singing the Woman's Song and the Lullaby. The rest came later.

I didn't see GWTW until after I'd seen the documentary, so by the time I did, I was fairly familiar with On The Wings Of A Dove, I'm Your Man and Come Join The Troop. Once Upon A Time, Nobody Knows You and Alone came next because Darius was singing them.

Just added this to the first post.....thanks

can anyone help finish these or shall I just add them to the others as they are?

Can this be all?

Can this be all?

Is this the end?

I can't believe

I'll never see your face again

Or hear your voice call my name low

Can this be all the life we'll know?

The children now

Will never know,

Their fathers guiding hand

To help them as they grow.

Can I raise them on my own?

How could you leave us all alone?

I pray to God

this war will cease.

No more must die in war

but live their lives in peace.

The end we seek

The cause we share

the cost is more

Than I can bear.

Can this be all?

The boy I knew,

the child I I loved so well is gone

How fast you grew.

To them the war seemed like a game

Our lives, will never be the same.

This war must end

Dear God I pray/This war must end

no one should ..../This war must end

'''''''''''''''''/This war must end

To end dispute

Lord hear me pray ,

Can we not find,

Can we not find, a better way?
