Posted June 22, 200817 yr I've put a poster on ebay, signed by about 30 of the cast - including Darius and Jill. The charity the money will go to is the Caladonian Challenge which my son took part in. If you are interested in this little peice of history, here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gone-With-The-Wind-p...1QQcmdZViewItem http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v614/megham/Gone%20With%20The%20Wind/IMG_3993cropsmall.jpg
June 23, 200817 yr Thanks, megham. isn't that funny? Jill and Darius both "illuminate" their initial letter and the rest is small, neat and unslanted.
June 23, 200817 yr Author written straight with the capital taking two spaces. Yes, I'd noticed that as well.
June 23, 200817 yr You'd think Darius would've signed "Darius Danesh", in the circumstances but I do love the way he integrates the heart and doesn't forget the little kiss.
June 23, 200817 yr I was just looking under GWTW section of ebay and there's another signed poster...starting price £49.95 by EFXAutographs Hope people see yours first....however I don't think I'd be bidding that amount anyway.
June 25, 200817 yr Author There are very few and, it looks as though they wont be repeated . The cast has gone their seperate ways. It's the kind of thing which will be rare.
July 1, 200817 yr Author ebay and paypal seem to really have gone up - they are now nearly £13 combined. I haven't used them for a while, so it was a bit of a shock.
July 2, 200817 yr Author My son was pleased. I was, more that the show was appreciated than for anything else. If the show hadn't been valued, I don't think that that amount would have been raised.
July 2, 200817 yr Well done, Meg. The money will be appreciated by the Caledonian cause.... your son will be proud to present such a large amount. Hope you have kept a second poster for yourself, in a few years its value will spiral as it will represent a part of theatre history.
July 2, 200817 yr Author I sold a second poster for £136 to an American wh'd come to Britain to see GWTW for his 50th birthday. This money is going to The Royal Marsden together with some other bits I'd raised through the year. It brings the total up to £210 - not a lot but better than nothing.
