I started off not liking the character and thought it was well acted - then I discovered I didn't like the actor either.

Ah well even you can't charm the miserable.

I can understand the miserable though. If your part is cut and then the play closed, it would tend to make you feel that way. That person always was though.

With one thing and another, I ended up being able to send a cheque for £175 to Charles as sponsership for The Caledonian Challenge and £200 to The Royal Marsden - not as much as usual but, better than nothing.
