June 24, 200817 yr Thanks, Claire. Don't they look great together? I wonder what Asher is up to behind Darius's back.

June 26, 200817 yr I suppose we can't grudge him a little break in Malibu after all the hard work on GWTW.
June 26, 200817 yr Let's hope he picks up where he left it at the end of January and doesn't have a different concept in mind now.
June 27, 200817 yr I think he needs a short break before HE GETS ON WITH HIS ALBUM. Are you shouting the last bit for him to hear......
June 27, 200817 yr Well perhaps it might work if we all shout together....might just travel the distance after 3..... 1 2 3 GET ON WITH YOUR ALBUM.........................PLEASE just thought we should add the please :D
June 28, 200817 yr I know everyone is eager for the album BUT now GWTW has gone which to some degree I thought would give some promotion on the back latter end of it, how will he promote it especially if another role comes up. I suppose to some degree on the back of a new show.
June 28, 200817 yr We have to look at it this way. GWTW took 6 months. Was that well spent or a total loss to the album? We've already talked about what Darius gained as an actor but he also worked closely with one of the best musical arrangers in the UK, Gareth Valentine and with one of the best orchestrators, William Brohn. That must have given him a lot more knowledge about how basic lyrics and melody can be changed fractionally to create completely different impressions. Just think how many different versions of I'm Your Man he had to sing. One dilemma I see for him, is that the people who loved his wonderful MT range in GWTW will expect to hear very different songs from other fans who've seen him at pop gigs or jazz/swing gigs. How can he satisfy them all in a coherent collection of songs?
June 28, 200817 yr Since he is not doing the same style of song anyway, I don't think we need to worry about that. As a person he alters and changes his perception of how he wants his music to be anyway. I liked the rejects from the lot before last, I just hope I like the new ones.
