How about you include every series but people only rate their top 40. That means everyone has the same housemates to choose from but they're really only picking their favourite?

I'm not sure whether to count 'Sam and Amanda' as one housemate 'Samanda' or seperately.

I'd count them as one housemate. They both had really similar personalities and I couldn't tell the difference between the two.
