I think this song is exactly the sort of thing they needed to release for their return single last year. It's a shame they wrote it about 7 or 8 years before they returned because it would have been perfect. It's upbeat and classic Spice Girls, with a few modifications to make it more current it could have been a triumphant return for them, maybe not #1, but a top 10 would have been likely at least.

 

As much as I loved 'Headlines', it wasn't really what I was expecting from them and a track like this would have been much better. I like the little rap Mel B does in particular, but basically it's good because it just says "We're Back".

 

What does everyone else think?

Yeah I agree (although I prefer a couple of others from Forever)

 

I think they tried to go to sophisticated and the whole essance of their fun attitude disappeared for Headlines, thats why I think It didn't sell that well. theres no way that I would have bought that Single if It was made by anyone else tbh.

I think it's my favourite on 'Forever' except maybe 'Tell Me Why'.

 

I still like Headlines, but I think they needed to keep their fun attitude. Then again they'd probably be criticised for being fun and bubbly when they're all 30-somethings, I don't think they could have won to be honest.

I'm just glad that they had a successful tour so that people can't say it was a failed comeback

Yeah, it's a shame the abandoned 'Forever' because I think it was a good album - not as good as their first two but still a good album.

I Still Think Voodoo would've done better as thier comeback single because that shows their fun side still. I agree also with Right Back At Ya, it would've been good for the comeback single to

'Right Back At Ya'

'Tell Me Why'

'Wasting My Time'

'Time Goes By'

 

I think 'Right Back At Ya' is the message that 'Headlines' should have had like "we're back and as good as ever". Well, I guess that's almost what 'Headlines' is about, but it's not the right sort of song.
