Posted July 3, 200817 yr Adam & James' Desert Island Disco Adam & James appeared on Capital FM's London radio show 'Desert Island Disco' on Friday night. During the show they both chose songs that had special memories for them. Listen below. What was the very first record you can remember buying? Adam: Eddie Grant - "Electric Avenue". It was so catchy, I wanted to just play it over and over again. The production's really interesting and he's just kind of a badass; he's singing about violence and corruption and bad things, yet it's a really kind of fun, danceable pop tune. James: INXS, which is a great first cassette to buy. I had a paper route, so I'd listen to tapes in my Walkman while I was delivering papers. Adam: James is really wholesome. Your parents' choice? James: Let me start off by saying I love my parents, but I learned nothing about music from them, they really had no interest in any sort of pop or rock music at all. Adam: James, you should play something from the Mormon Tabernacle. James: Literally that's what we listened to, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Johnny Mathis. There was this one weird chapter though when I was 13 and [it was] the only time my father became interested in any pop song or any pop artist. For a couple of weeks he would play Sheryl Crow's "All I Wanna Do Is Have Some Fun" on a continuous loop in the car, anywhere we went. It was really strange. Guilty pleasure song? Both: "Toxic" by Britney Spears. James: I don't believe in guilty pleasures. Adam: It's a great song. If you feel pleasure from something then you feel pleasure from it, if you feel guilty about it, then you're just an insecure person. First night in a club, can you remember what song was playing? James: I remember like the first era when we started to be able to get into clubs, and I remember "Crazy Like That" by Beyoncé, that was playing everywhere. Adam: [You mean] "Crazy In Love"? You sound like my father, "I like that 'Crazy Like That!' " James: I was in the club, I was distracted. Floor-filler, the song that gets you on the dance floor? Adam: Kanye - "Gold Digger". There's just something about that song, I literally feel like I have to get up and dance no matter what's happening. James: I always like it when they play Daft Punk - "Around the World". That's always good. Full list of songs: "Thriller" - Michael Jackson :D "Need You Tonight" - INXS "Electric Avenue" - Eddie Grant "All I Wanna Do" - Sheryl Crow "Little of Your Time" - Maroon 5  "Toxic" - Britney Spears :puke2: "Crazy In Love" - Beyoncé :puke2: "Gold Digger" - Kanye West "Around the World" - Daft Punk "California Love" - 2Pac
