Posted July 3, 200817 yr Comic writer Mark Millar, currently making a few bob off the back of the movie adaptation of Wanted, has reportedly said some rather intersting stuff about a future Superman movie. "Since I was a kid I've always wanted to reinvent Superman for the 21st century," Millar told Scottish paper The Daily Record, "I've been planning this my entire life. I've got my director and producer set up, and it'll be 2011. This is how far ahead you have to think." He continued, "The Superman brand is toxic after that last movie lost [a good chunk of change], but in 2011 we're hoping to restart it. Sadly I can't say who the director is, but we may make it official by Christmas." Hmmm... We're not sure how this fits in with previous announcements that Bryan Singer is already onboard as director, or if it will be called Man of Steel, but it's interesting stuff nonetheless. If what Millar says is true, which way would you like to see him take the franchise? IGN-MOVIES I dunno what to think about this... I assume its going to be in the same vain as the latest Hulk film as in starting again from the beginning.

I don't really see the point tbh. The new Hulk film doesn't really start from the beginning either... it is just a sequel basically, but it tries not to be (if that makes any sense ). It might be good for a different change of director, but a whole new cast would just not work imo.
July 3, 200817 yr It won't happen, as the Justice League movie will be out in 2010 And the Superman franchise has already been revamped by Chris Nolan, the second movie is on hold because of the new Justice League movie.
July 4, 200817 yr basically... what Martin said They already reinvented Superman and they were making the sequel but then changed there mind to make a JLA movie (and im not sure but is the JLA movie going to have Christian Bale as Batman?). Im not a Superman fan myself though, and we all know The Avengers will kick JLA arse.
July 4, 200817 yr The main problem I had with the "Superman" film was that I just didn't buy the actors playing Superman and Lois, oh, and the script was pretty terrible (there's only so much Bryan Singer could do with such a poor script)... A huge mistake in the casting I reckon - Lois is supposed to be this experienced, award-winning journalist and frankly, Kate Bosworth just didn't look old or mature enough to order a drink at the bar.... As for whathisface playing Superman (yep, he left such a great impression that I cant even remember his NAME.... ), well, I never thought I'd see anyone as wooden as Hayden Christopher, but this guy somehow managed it, it was a very far cry from Teri and Dean or Chris and Margot.... The only reason why Superman DIDN'T suck dogsh!t..... Kevin Spacey..... He totally carried that film, and almost made it bearable..... I think "Superman" really DOES need to go back to the drawing board.... Keep Singer on board at the helm, but maybe contract out the scripting duties to, the Nolan brothers..... Hey, why not.....? And get a couple of DECENT actors in their mid-30s (and NOT a couple of fukkin' "Smallville" rejects...) to play Clark and Lois....
