Happy Butlins memories :D

I really enjoyed that set. It was fun and good with the benefit of a meet and greet afterwards. Then a full show with band to follow - brilliant day.

That has to be my favourite Darius experience ever. The acoustic set in the afternoon was so intimate and then that wonderfully sweaty, hip thrusting performance in the evening! grabbing . I remember asking Darius to sign my DVD, and when he asked me what my favourite part was, my mind went strangely blank :rolleyes:

I'll try to scan in Mr June from my 2005 calendar tonight.

 

My favourite part of the DVD is Darius in India. It's not so much the presentation, the rehearsal and the show but rather his commentary and the behind the scenes stuff.

I loved the Glasgow bits. It just seemed so Darius.

I think I said I liked the India footage best, and my sis (also awestruck!) said she preferred the Glasgow footage. My niece just stood there with her mouth open :D

I think when he's in Glasgow he is just the brother, the son, the friend and he's always come over exactly the same.... on the DVD, the BBC documentary, the This Morning segments where he showed his favourite haunts, Smile's Riddims, the PI parts shot in Glasgow and still my favourite, the Popstars bits especially his parting with Cyrus....that always gets to me.
