Gary Neville has missed Thursday's training session over the hamstring injury that he picked up against Hungary. However, Sven is optoistic that he can be fit for the World Cup.

 

There is also talk in the papers today that Sven is going to ditch the holding midfielder role in favour of the traditional 4-4-2 with Crouch and Owen playing up front and that playing Lampard as the more defensive midfielder instead of Gerrard. I also don't think that Sven will play Neville on Saturday as he really doesn't want him to miss the world cup, so hopefully Sven will play Carragher at right back instead of Hargreaves.

Carragher should be first choice right-back if Gary Neville should sustain a injury. But no doubt Sven will pick his beloved Owen Hargreaves :wub: over Carragher.
