July 5, 200817 yr I thought it was pretty $h!t if i'm being honest... it could have been a lot better. I hated the Earth part with the Doctor and Rose... was so clique. The Christmas special should be good with David Morrisey, just as long as he doesn't do his absolutely $h!tE American accent.
July 5, 200817 yr But Donna did die... the Donna Noble that was alive died because she had a timelords mind.. that's what they meant i didnt understand why caan betrayed them and i thought the tardis pullin the earth was pretty $h!t but it was amazing  it depressed me so much, close to tears atm :(
July 5, 200817 yr But Mart!n, many other websites are saying the special has already been filmed, because David is filming something else.
July 5, 200817 yr Also - The German talking Daleks made me LOL quite alot :heehee: Oh yeah, that was hilarious!
July 5, 200817 yr towing the earth was pants... tbh i think that by pulling in everyone, even that fukkin dog <_<, it smacks of desperation. however it was as good as it could have been ... 8/10
July 5, 200817 yr Well, despite what some think, I thought it was brilliant (although, not quite on par with last weeks). It was really sad about what happened to Donna as she has become my favourite companion. The story was amazing too - it tied things together well (just about). I loved the German Daleks too, and the part when the second doctor and Donna were sounding alike. I will miss Dr Who until Christmas :( I also missed the trailer for the Christmas episode  10/10 for me.
July 5, 200817 yr Kitchen sink ahoy. Like every single RTD finale, it did not live up to the beyond high standards of the penultimate episode, probably because we've spent a week imagining what the ending was going to (could) be, so by the time we saw the finale it failed to match our imaginations/hopes/expectations. Well I was (sort of) right about Donna being a Timelord even if I'm disappointed she was not a regeneration of Romana or The Master. Whilst in retrospect I love the fact the Ood episode gave the finale away. The highlights were The German daleks, and DoctorDonna mimicking David Tennant's Doctor's characteristics. Whilst I personally loved the bittersweet endings for Rose & Donna in so far that they are both still alive but are still metaphorically "dead" with Rose stuck back in the parallel world with the human hand version of the doctor & even sadder Donna's last 13 weeks of time travelling that have not happened for her. In that respect I think that was a far better cop out than actually killing either character dead in the conventional sense. Especially as I can imagine RTD having a laugh at all us Dr Who fans who thought Catherine Tate's Donna was going to be a Bonnie Langford casting catastrophe and have been proven as completely wrong as you could ever wish to be. But the one minus was the beyond corny towing the Earth back to its orbit, as that plot development belonged to a naff popcorn Hollywood feelgood movie, not to one of the greatest British TV institutions ever invented. 9/10
July 5, 200817 yr Overall a brilliant episode but with some let downs along the way. The towing of earth back to where it was was pathetic and im very annoyed that Donna has lot all memory of her travels, didnt Turn Left prove how better her life was with the Doctor, it was just tragic.
July 5, 200817 yr im very annoyed that Donna has lot all memory of her travels, didnt Turn Left prove how better her life was with the Doctor, it was just tragic. But that is why I liked that, because in many ways that made it even more sadder than her being actually killed conventionally, by say intentionally sacrificing herself to stop the destruction of the universe. Especially with Wilf's & the Doctor's reaction when they were devastated (for her), whilst the temp secretary Donna Noble was oblivious to all that had happened.
July 5, 200817 yr I thought it was excellent, this 2-parter has been the best story of the series, well done to Russell T Davies for keeping the finale a big secret, nice touch. Donna's exit was very sad, but i think better than killing her off completely. The casting of Catherine Tate has been a controversial one which was despised by many but i thought she played Donna brilliantly, who turned out to be a great character. Kudos to Russell T Davies again for casting her. The german daleks was a nice touch. What a thought was brilliant is Davros recognising Sarah Jane from Genesis Of The Daleks. Great nod to the past that. Rose's exit was very sad, i knew that the other Doctor would end up with her, that was predictable, and i think the best ending. It was good seeing them all together in the TARDIS too, loved the individual goodbyes with Martha, Mickey, Sarah Jane and Captain Jack. I thought the ending was very good and poignant. Quite a sad moment, and it was good that there wasn't the usual, predictable 'What' moment at the end like the previous two. Nice to see a sneak peak at the xmas special at the end featuring the cybermen. Overall i'll give this episode 10/10.
July 5, 200817 yr I watched, and i didnt watch it. I was way too tired to pay proper attention so ill just catch the repeat.

July 5, 200817 yr I thought this was a great episode. You got the tragedy of Donna, the cheesiness of the Earth towing, the nod to the past with Davros recognising Sarah-Jane, some great comic moments from Donna and the 2nd Doctor. K-9 was just RTD throwing in the kitchen sink (probably because it was his last episode) Anyway my other half was pleased the old mutt was there as well. Oh and didn't RTD say there were going to be 4 specials next year? And it looks like the rumours about Martha and Micky joining Torchwood are true after that ending.
July 6, 200817 yr I liked it and I'm glad no one died. Donna's ending was sad but it was best she didn't die. I hate it when characters are killed off for the sake of it which may be why I wasn't too happy with the 7th Harry Potter novel. But I would love a companion who can stay with the Doctor for more than one series. At least this time it was kinda obvious because Catherine Tate has her own work. But I'd have loved Donna to stay.
