Posted July 6, 200817 yr With thanks to Rachel on DM - brought this across - From The Herald magazine 5th July: Name Darius Danesh Age 27 Occupation Stage actor, singer and performer In the beginning: It’s hard to forget that terrible ponytail and his all-too eager appearance on reality show Popstars. Nevertheless, this Glasgow boy has pulled his socks up in the style stakes since. Career high points: His song Colourblind, a hit in the UK charts, ensured Danesh was no longer seen as the scruffy wannabe from Popstars. Following two West End stints in Chicago, he recently completed a run as Rhett Butler in Sir Trevor Nunn’s musical adaptation of Gone with the Wind. Famous clients: Danesh is now looked after by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller, who also guides the careers of David and Victoria Beckham and Claudia Schiffer. Signature style: Slick hair and tanned skin, Danesh’s look is all about being himself. He has a penchant for leather jackets, patterned shirts and woolly scarves. What people say: Whatever the critics might say he has a loyal fanbase who idolise him. He also received positive reviews for his recent West End performances. What’s next?: Danesh is pursuing his acting and performing career after Gone With the Wind was cancelled. Also nominated Jenni Falconer, Laura Fraser, Adele Bethel, Hannah McGill, KT Tunstall, Jim Lambie, Tammy Kane, Craig Ferguson, Alex Kapranos.
July 6, 200817 yr Thanks Preston I like the bit about the loyal fanbase. Not sure idolise is quite the right word though.
July 6, 200817 yr A positive article in the Herald. Darius's style is all about being himself .................... I agree, just like his music. I like the way Darius mixes designer and high street pieces with classic well tailored suits and jeans and teams them with great buckles and bracelets, scarves and cravats. I think he's nailed the "smart-casual" look, which is now the designation for a lot of occasions which used to be more formal in the past and one which always fills me with dread when I see it on an invitation.
July 9, 200817 yr everyone has a different opinion.....smart casual to one could be casual to another where as formal to one could be smart casual to another....also depends on what you wear everyday
July 10, 200817 yr Maybe that's what's going wrong. I really advise you to try clothes - it really alters people's perception on you.
July 10, 200817 yr does it really....well I'm amazed!! .....will that get me more than 11 pionts in my GCSE....if I choose to do one.....
July 10, 200817 yr It could stop you getting arrested - and that could allow you to finish your exam and changre your life for ever. Really, Spam, consider clothes. Apart from anything else, you'd be warmer.
July 10, 200817 yr ... :o I'd never thought of that... do you realise we are off topic....'cos I haven't a clue what this thread is about..... ...you really are a bad influence...clothes or not  Edited July 10, 200817 yr by SpamFritter
July 12, 200817 yr I bet in LA they are wearing less/thinner clothes than here. When is Summer scheduled?
