I am studying the influences of the Beatles on Oasis and I'd like to ask you If you could help me to find oasis' songs which seem to some of the beatles. For example in "Songbird" appears the John Lennon's figure.

Also if you know some books/webs that address this issue i'd like to know them.

Well the most obvious is 'Whatever'. Also the begining of Don't Look Back In Anger is always compared to Imagine. Other than than those, I can't think of many obvious songs that come to mind, but obviously they are largly influenced by the Beatles, like most bands are. Although alot of Oasis's songs are alot more rock than most of the Beatles.

 

yes whatever and how sweet to be an idiot, isnt it? but i mean oasis-beatles.... i know that they're influenced by the Beatles in nearly all their songs but i'm trying to find in what are they really similar. I'm trying to make a list like "Whatever" - "How sweet to be an idiot" and then analyze the songs.
