Richard Bacon keeps on mentioning Will after every act, he knows it gets the audience excited.... lesser cheers for the other acts as usual.

Probably with sushi TT. Thanks for relaying the texts.

Sound was poor apparently but Will gorgeous and very well received. He then went into the audience to watch the Feeling and stood next to Val! Did she watch him or the Feeling?

Sounds like it was OK but poor value for money - some people said the food was awful.

I had a brilliant time loved the venue.... the food was great and in abundance [suggy will tell you about her fishy delights  ] the sound was not great where we were standing but then again most of the people on D who went were standing by suggy and I [in the first few rows] so i don't know whether the bad sound was just confined to that area. I thought the sugababes had the same bad sound but because there music was very bouncy with lots of bass it was not noticeable as much...but if you wanted to hear there voices it was not clear...i tried too because i wanted to see if they were as out of tune as is always mentioned when they are live :P but it was difficult to tell.

Will was wonderful so happy and smiley he seems to really love his new band...always looking over to them with a big grin on his face, and i must admit i didn't notice the loss of his old band [ though i did love them] the new songs grace and Changes where wonderful.

The crowd loved him and when he sung LRN at the end everyone was singing ... gave me goosebumps

I will put up my videos when youtube as finished uploading :D

Helloooo peeps I'm back! :dancing: I had a most wonderful day yesterday at Chiswick and yes the sound for a few of the acts including Will was pretty bad, but overall it didn't spoil my enjoyment to the point where I was disappointed, as I was with a great bunch of people, including young teenage girls and devotees and we were soooo near to the front with Will directly in front of me, smiling, waving and looking drop dead gorgeous.http://www.smilies-and-more.com/pics/kolobok/he_and_she/girl_in_love.gif

First of all I'd like to say that Goldfrapp were absolutely bloody dreadful and I was most disappointed with them, she didn't look like she even wanted to be there, Jo Wiley introduced them saying they would "become your new favourite band", I don't think so! Sophie Ellis Bexter was ok as well and she's so pretty and petite, :D I have to say that Sugababes got the best reception of the night and they were really good, mainly due to the fact that they sang all their fast and bouncy single hits which got all the crowd singing along, you couldn't really hear their voices though, it was the music that won through. The food was absolutely sublime and I think I must have eaten half my body weight in Bream, Lobster, Tuna steaks and King Prawns. http://www.smilies-and-more.com/pics/kolobok/he_and_she/girl_prepare_fish.gif Sunday was not impressed with the "goodies" on my plate,http://www.smilies-and-more.com/pics/kolobok/he_and_she/girl_hide.gifhttp://www.smilies-and-more.com/pics/kolobok/he_and_she/girl_haha.gifThe weather was lovely, warm and sunny most of the time and me and sunday had a couple of the cocktails, I also had a coffee and 2 teas, we went to get a tray full of the fancy little buns and cakes to take home with us after Will had been on but they'd all gone. Anyway back to Will's set, he came on to a fantastic reception from the crowd and started with Very Kind, although it took me a few minutes to realise what it was, as it was re-worked and more upbeat, I loved it. B) He then sang Changes which I think is going to sound awesome on the recorded version, next came a good version of Your Game at which point I realised that if I stuck both my fingers against my ears, I could cut the bass down and hear Will's voice a lot better. It was a shame about the heavy bass but I think it would have sounded perfectly fine further back, hopefully it'll be sorted out for the theatre tour, I'm sure it will be. He then sang Grace and Help Me and I liked both of those, I was hoping for Disconnected as well as I love that one and it's more upbeat but he didn't and he finished with LRN which had the whole crowd singing along and it was great to hear. :yahoo: I think maybe he should have sang more sing -along songs at this particular event instead of his new stuff? He still got a fantastic response though and you could definitely "feel the love" for Will from the rest of the crowd as well. I think he's starting to become a sort of national treasure.

I'd just like to say that the band and backing singers were all chuffed as mintballs, when Will introduced them all individually to the crowd and they got loud cheers, they were very very good and the lead guitarist was really into it and very happy and smiley and the rest all seemed to know what Will wanted straightaway, I think they're going to be very popular.

Just adding that I left my blue regatta coat, all neatly folded and placed directly in front of the middle of the stage. :drama:

Hello

The Berkshire-born performer impressed crowds in Chiswick with a performance that revealed his fresh new jazz-influenced sound

Former Pop Idol Will consolidates return with London gig

After more than a year out of the spotlight, former 'Pop Idol' winner Will Young has made a triumphant return to the music scene. The Berkshire-born performer continued his run of summer musical festivals this week when he took to the stage to entertain crowds at an exclusive concert in London.

Clearly enjoying every minute of being back on stage, Will - who also performed at Britain's famous Glastonbury festival last month - revealed his fresh new jazz-influenced sound. Featuring in his set were tracks from his new album Let It Go, which hits shelves in September.

"I've never been happier with my music than I have with this album," he reveals of the new work. "I spent the longest time I've ever spent making an album and I think it feels right."

Joining Will on the bill at the annual event - thrown by private, members-only club Soho House in the picturesque grounds of Chiswick House in West London - were pop trio Sugababes. Also taking to the stage was Sophie Ellis Bextor, whose performance was watched by her mum, former Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis

Thanks for that sunday, did you get sorted this morning then?
