Posted June 1, 200619 yr getting albums from the following artists: Paradise Lost Nevermore Iced Earth Sentenced Has anybody got any opinions on them? what are they like?
June 2, 200619 yr Paradise Lost - fantastic band, they more or less got the whole "Goth Metal" thing up and running back in '89... Think of Metallica crossed with Sisters of Mercy. Their early stuff ("Gothic" and "Shades of God" are really abrasive, almost death metal), but they've gone through a lot of style changes as well, you might want to avoid "Host" as it's kinda poppy... Essential albums - Icon Draconian Times Shades of God Paradise Lost (2005) One Second Sentenced - Great Finnish metal band, but only heard a few of albums of theirs. Early stuff, again is very heavy, but they went a bit lighter and more melodic as they went on.... Recommendations - Cold White Light Down The Funeral Album (2005) Story - A Recollection (collection of early material)
June 6, 200619 yr lol I personally hate Iced Earth I was looking at them a while back and nah but then... don't listen to me not like you do otherwise :P
