Just noticed shes not listed on their site, neither is Gabrielle.

If this is true, this could be a good thing. Could find herself a better label which will push her more into the limelight with the right material? Also with the likes of Coldplay & Kylie Minogue leaving the label it can't be such a bad thing. Maybe Beverley will start her own label.

What do we think, I'm pretty shocked they'd throw away an act just like that with such potential, also may I voice my anger on them dropping the amazing Gabrielle too :(

She's on the list I'm looking at here:

She's under the "K" section for Knight. I can't see Gabrielle though. :(

In a way I want her to leave EMI because they seem like a really crappy label, but at the same time I don't think any one would pick her up. She's been around a long time with very little commercial success - that says to me that she hasn't hit it off with the public for some unknown reason.

Kylie's not on that list  which part is Bev with cause on MCS album it says Parlophone on top

She is? She's the last of the K artists. If Bev is K, surely Kylie is M - but they've dropped Kylie's last name here. Bev is on Parlophone, which is part of EMI.

Ahhh, I actually hope Bev has left them.

Whyyy? I don't think anyone would pick up poor old Bev. If I was some big record label owner I'd say "why hasn't she broken through yet? the public obviously don't like her enough." despite how great she truly is. :( I don't want her to become like Mel C either.

 it's opportunities, you were right. I don't know if I agree though, what happened to Kelis? Did she get picked up again? Not that she's totally relevant, she's had a bit more commercial success and hasn't been around as long.

True  buttt look at Jamelia, shes a UK R&B artist like Bev kind of, Jamelia has had lots of offers with labels and is now working with Pharrell on a new album and producers who have produced tracks such as Umbrella :o

Ooh, might this be the album that makes me interested in Jamelia? :kink:

Aside from that, I think Jamelia is more appealing to labels because she's had a fair bit of commercial success, she's younger and hasn't been around as long. (it works against Bev in this case because she's had a long career of minor hits)

But Beverley had a really good selling Greatest Hits and unlike Jamelia has a fairly big fanbase  who buy albums.

This song should get you into Jamelia :smoke:

Wasn't that off the back of Just The Two Of Us mostly? Jamelia only has had one top 10 album, but that's sold more than any of Beverley's. Jamelia might not be an album artist, but her singles usually do a lot better and Beverley isn't much of an album artist anyway, her positions are good but they don't stick around for long at all.

That Jamelia song is quite good, but I don't know if I'm won over. :smoke:

I see you've listened to soem Texas :kink:

Being dropped could be a good thing and a bad thing since she could find a much better record company, but would anyone want Bev.

They woudnt get rid of her now though would they, there have been worse eras than the MCS one.

True but will they risk it being another bad era? :o

Yeah it wasnt a very commercial album in my eyes. The only song which really could have been a hit was Black Butta i think.

Yes, was good stuff. ^_^

Which era has been worse? This has been her least successful album, certification wise, since her debut - which was on another label. This is also the first project where all her singles missed the top 40 - let alone 2/3 missing the top 100 and even top 200.

It wasn't a commercial album, but I think that's an advantage for a fan, but not so much sales wise - as was shown.

My mistake, i thought the second album at least had been on this label.
