My mistake, i thought the second album at least had been on this label.

Prodigal Sista was on Parlophone, but it was certified as Gold and MCS is only Silver. At least that album had some top 40 hits as well.

Affirmation was EMI then too I guess :o I'm actually suprised EMI did quite well for her with the top 40 hits but Parlophone was the GH right?

EMI and Parlophone are the same thing - like Parlophone is a branch from EMI. She's been on EMI/Parlophone since Prodigal Sista was released. :P

I think nearly all labels are like that. You have Sony and then there are different labels within that like Columbia and RCA are part of Sony I think...

Imagine if she left and got hooked upto Def Jam B)

What did Music City Soul sell in total, i really didnt think Prodigal Sista would be able to out sell it.

About 50,000 copies I think  maybe a little bit more or less

Is Def Jam the label Rihanna is on? I don't know how they'd handle Beverley if they took her, they might make her less of a soul singer and turn her into more of an R&B singer.

Maybe it didn't outsell it, but they shipped more copies of Prodigal Sista as it has a higher certification. Then again, maybe a low peaking album back then would have managed to shift more copies since sales were a lot higher back then.

I'd say it was less, it was certified Silver though which is 60,000 shipments. I doubt they sold all of them though.

Thats dire isnt it. I was under the impression if had sold at least 70k.

Maybe it did, it didn't spend long in the top 75 though so I doubt it. :(

It deserved about 10 times that amount. But I don't think any of her albums have sold that much.

Shame really :(

Shame really :(

Mhm, even her GH only made Platinum, but I don't know whether it sold the full 300K.

Such a shame, i was convinced MCS would have a long chart run.

I did too especially after all the GH buyers.

Yeah, I thought she built a bigger fanbase after that show, but they disappeared after the GH. -_-
