Posted July 15, 200817 yr They are no longer listed on the website does anyone have any information or news on whether this is true or not :o
July 15, 200817 yr beverley will get snapped up right away if she isn't with parlophone anymore. she has a great voice. gabrielle too, for that matter.
July 15, 200817 yr Me and Simon were talking about this in the Beverley Knight forum last night and I found out that Simon was looking in the wrong place for Beverley. She's still there on the EMI website, under the K artists. Gabrielle, however, isn't on the list. :( I'm not sure they'll be snapped up, both have been around for a long time and haven't been selling many records recently. Gabrielle was a big name in the nineties and at the very beginning of the millennium, but she's had a poor comeback so she might not be picked up because she "doesn't have a fanbase any more". As for Beverley, she was never a really big artist for some reason, neither her albums or singles have been huge so maybe she wouldn't look like a good signing despite her talent. Anyway, it looks like Beverley is still with EMI/Parlophone so this is irrelevant for now. I would like her to leave EMI because they've messed up Kylie's latest project and I think it's got a bad name as a record label at the moment, but it's the fear that she wont be picked up that makes me want to stay with them.
July 15, 200817 yr Beverley still has the potential to sell, she just needs music that isn't completely boring; back to your Affirmation style Bev, plzthx. Gabrielle will never sell again; even a great song like Every Little Teardrop couldn't crack the Top 1/200.
July 15, 200817 yr I do feel sorry for Gabrielle, nothing will sell for her anymore. Bev could leave though, but im not sure if someone who take her.
July 15, 200817 yr beverley has a great soulful voice and her music is nice, but the people who handle her material don't really know how to market her hence her lack of commercial success. gabrielle could still make a comeback too if she had the right team behind her. that "why" song should never have been a single, nevermind lead single.
