Posted July 15, 200817 yr Thumbnail Previews: http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/2483/thumbnailsbf0.jpg Full HQ Scans (JPEGS): http://www.sendspace.com/file/pjiham 96 MB My Review: The guitars seem to be have turned up on some of the songs and sort of drown out the piano; the new mixing of "Believe Again" is particularly upsetting as I hear more "dripiness" (the best way I can describe it) throughout the firts half of the song. I think the Australian mixes were fine and don't see why we they felt the need to refresh the songs, especially when I don't think they improved them. Another beef, the graphic work is very poor. Delta is extremely beautiful and photogenic and doesn't need a bunch of swirlies to enhance her image. Also, the font choice was weak and uninspiring, I was hoping for something classy and interesting like the Australian artwork, but was disappointed when I opened the booklet to find the lazy graphic design, especially since the photos of Delta are so beautiful. With that said, I LOVED going into Target and seeing Delta on the shelves. It's been long overdue that we have her in the markets and just seeing her on the shelf made me SO HAPPY. I imported "Innocent Eyes" & "Mistaken Identity", but there is something about seeing a US Release on the shelf that is totally different! There is a therapy to buying a CD, opening the wrapping and popping it into your car and BLASTING it down the highway!!! :)!
July 15, 200817 yr Why didn't they use more pictures from the US album shoot? It seems rather pointless to more or less have filled the new sleeve with pics from the Aus Version, what was the point of going to the effort of shooting more pictures, not to use them!! -_- Ahh well, never mind ... I'm just happy that FINALLLY the album is out!!!! :D
July 15, 200817 yr Is Born To Try a re-recorded version or the original? Just think it would be weird to have a 5/6 year old vocals amongst brand new songs so was kind of hoping for a new recording. Think I will definitely import this if the songs are new mixes. Wish there was a couple of brand new songs though!
July 16, 200817 yr they look fantastic thanks. do you guys know that the album is #5 on the ITUNES POP chart and #18 on the overall ITUNES chart! :yahoo: :cheer: :w00t: :dance: ^_^ :) ;) im so excited. its going to be a massive debut! she hasnt even started promo! oh and the US shots were used on internet sites etc. they australian photos the americans have not seen so they are 'new' and exciting for them
July 16, 200817 yr I was just listening to the clips on itunes US store and Born To Try definitely sounds like a new version... can anyone confirm if it really is or if it's just a remix? Her vocals sound more recent from what I can hear. :unsure:
