Just came back from a Lucie Silvas concert in Amsterdam. She was great I must say.

Her voice was great. She enjoyed herself so much she did another 25 minute encore.

It wasn't just her sitting at the piano playing and singing she also did lots of songs up front

without playing the piano. :yahoo:

It was the first time she'd performed in front of such a large crowd so she was on a high.

The crowd treated her very well.

Anyone else been to a Lucie Silvas concert before ?? :cheer:

It was me, I was in that group right at the front, we travelled over the day before specially and came back this afternoon, she knew we were going to be there though. I think it was my near enough gazillionth Lu gig...or rather 16th!

Lucie was so cool on Thursday night bless her, she was clearly a bit overwhelmed that so many people turned up just to see her.

Yep Rob she performed 5 new album tracks which were -

The Same Side

Sinking In

Alone

Place To Hide/Call Me (unsure of name as she didn't actually say)

Last Year

Obviously The Same Side and Last Year have been played previous to this concert but the other 3 haven't - they're so damn amazing aswell, really catchy and I do admit I really really cried at Place To Hide because it's gorgeous. <3

Did you take any pics ? I was too far away and love to have some If you wouldn't mind sharing a few.

Haven't seen any around so far.

Thanks

Mummy, Daddy and Nikki Silvas try and go to shows whenever they can. They said afterwards how proud they were, it was really sweet. It was a great night all in all and the jumping was funny!

There was professional photographers there on the night so obviously they will have some good pictures if they ever make it onto the internet. I unfortunately didn't take any during the evening, only got shots of her before/after the gig but a couple of people who were with me did and they said they'll give me access to their photos in the new few days so hopefully I'll be able to give you a link to them or something then. There's a few floating around the official forums already though if you can't wait.

I've been a fan since 'It's too late'

And yes, I know the english peeps who went as they're my friends! :P

That was 6 years ago Dazzy, I can't believe it's been that long and we spent 4 of those years wondering where the heck she was!

If you haven't already got my other message I have your cds. :D Andrew and I trekked everywhere trying to find enough copies but we did in the end. Damn we missed you whilst we were there you know but Lucie knows you still love her. <3

Haven't been to a concert but saw her when she supported Will for a couple of his summer festival gigs. She was fantastic - but a bit 'shouty' for me.

I saw her when she supported Will in a concert [in a place in wales i wont attempt to spell  ] i thought she is an excellent live performer, infact though her style of music is not to my taste, i would say she is one of the best female vocalists around [never got a note wrong  ]

That's sooooooo cool. Lucie seems really nice. How sweet of her so come and see you outside.

Well after meeting her a grand total of about 21 times she expects to find us being random at the venue somewhere, she always tried her hardest to come out before/after the show or to take us inside or something. We see her more than she sees her own family which is sad in a way. She's a really lovely girl, she'd never hurt a fly and she cares more than everyone will ever know.
