Posted July 16, 200817 yr Sakis Rouvas is going to be representing Greece for the second time in six contests after ERT (Greek national broadcaster) made the singer an offer. :o http://www.esctoday.com/news/read/12153
July 16, 200817 yr Oh great.....so I guess that puts an end to any chance of variety in Greek entries for the moment.
July 16, 200817 yr Oh ffs. Why can't Greece try something different. A rock band, perhaps? This is copying Russia 2008 big time... and they aren't even trying to hide it. :arrr:
July 16, 200817 yr Author I can't see him doing a Dima Bilan though tbh. Well, actually that probably shouldn't be ruled out as he'll probably come out with some 'Believe'-esque ballad and score pretty highly. I still think Russia are gonna win again though next year. :(

July 16, 200817 yr I still think Russia are gonna win again though next year. :( Nah, it's gonna be someone else who's never won before (and there's still plenty of those - off the top of my head: Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, BiH, Bulgaria, Romania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland and Lithuania). In other words - Make a list of those countries from Eastern Europe that haven't won and it's almost certainly gonna be one of them. (NB - If this doesn't happen in Moscow next May, feel free to quote me.) Edited July 16, 200817 yr by DitzyNizzy

I wouldn't be surprised if Armenia or Azerbaijan won next year, but many of the others seem incapable of sending a really good song as of late.

July 18, 200817 yr Oh god! Same Greek formula then... I reckon 2009 is going to be Armenia's year :o
