I'm feeling confident over this, as this was the sort of thing that happened in the months prior to the Amarantine release!

I don't think Play.com would've listed it though with a specific date had they not had some sort of confirmation from Warner or something. Fingers crossed anyway!

A Canadian website is reporting an album will be released on November 11th there now. I have to say though, if it's released on November 3rd in the UK I can't imagine it being a Christmas album at all... it wouldn't sell. :manson:

If a Christmas album is released, I can't see it going top ten in the UK like all her other albums have done. :( Looking more 21-30 tbh.

I agree with David. I can't see a top 10 placing for a Christmas album.

I'm hoping that it won't be a Christmas album. I only listen to Christmas music for a couple of weeks a year. I really hope they shelved those plans and have worked on a new studio album.

They'll have had to work quickly on it though and I don't know if they're capable of doing that.

I think there's a possibility they have been working quickly - we haven't seen much of Enya in the UK since late 2006, so if they've been working on new material since then more or less non-stop, I think there's a possibility a new album could arrive. I'll be a bit disappointed if we "only" get a Christmas album now in all honesty. :(
About the new album..I'm afraid that quickly may equal not as good of quality overall, so I wouldn't want a new studio album to be rushed (not saying that Enya is ever low quality) Think of it this way..if we do happen to get a Christmas release this year, it will be much better than no release and all the silence. ;)

I don't know... a Christmas album might not be better than no release at all tbh, because then that would mean we're looking at 2012/2013 until the next proper album - which is years away! Being an Enya fan keeps you on your toes anyway!
