August 28, 200816 yr Yeah, Josh Groban's album was the first Christmas album to spend four consecutive weeks at #1 in Billboard's 51 year history ( I got that from Wikipedia :kink: ) and was the best selling album of 2007. :D I thought it was a good album, but was surprised it did that well really. I hope Enya's new album (if there be a new album) is a winter themed album rather than a Christmas album. I love Christmas, but if it was a winter themed album, I could listen to it all winter! :yahoo:
August 28, 200816 yr Author The way Roma said in her letter that the new competition would include Loxian which we heard from 'Amarantine' kinda made it sound like we won't be hearing Loxian again on this album.
August 31, 200816 yr I'm coming to a different conclusion, David. I'm expecting that Loxian will appear on the new release. That will surely make it more of a winter album than a Christmas album. I can't imagine the, ahem, Loxians celebrate Christmas.
September 1, 200816 yr Author I won't mind if Loxian appears on the new album tbh. Not being a fluent speaker in Latin, Gaelic, Spanish, Loxian, Japanese or any of the other languages Enya has sung in, they don't sound too dissimilar to me!
September 2, 200816 yr Author I see in Nicky's letter he says that we will have news on Enya pretty soon when the website is relaunched. :D Woo I'm getting a bit excited now.
September 3, 200816 yr Author Me neither, and I reckon it should happen within the next couple of weeks! :w00t:
September 3, 200816 yr Author Me too, I'm getting seriously quite excited now. :w00t: It brings back memories of late 2005 so much.
September 4, 200816 yr Author Oh didn't you? I joined in about September 2005 I think, and I remember reading the letter from Roma on the main site, it was really exciting. :heehee:
September 7, 200816 yr Author I joined before then I'm sure. I think that was when it was on the old board though, so everyone had to re-register when they moved to the current one. ^_^
September 7, 200816 yr Author The board used to be completely different in 2005, it was a different server or something. I was trying to get a snapshot on the Internet Archive site but it won't work for some reason. :(
