Presenting trio Myleene Klass, Lauren Laverne and Johnny Pitts have been ditched from the new-look version of CD:UK.

The long-running music show - axed by ITV earlier this year - will instead be fronted by MTV's Dave Berry and an as-yet undetermined female sidekick when it relaunches on Five later this year.

According to Broadcast, the new-look show will air in a 5.30pm slot on Saturday evenings from the summer.

That's great news, an evening slot, remains to be seen, if the format of the show remains the same

Is Dave Berry the same bloke who got sacked from cd:uk before the current trio?

I think so yes

A much better time slot and I used to like Dave Berry when he was on Nickelodeon but he's useless and c*ap on TRL.
it would be alot better to see cat deely presenting it again, along with and and dec

i doubt ant and dec would not defect to five. however hasnt stars in your eyes been axed? so cat might be free

If the format remains the same :puke2: :puke2:

The VJs on MTV now are rubbish anyway.

Just why couldn't they bring The Chart Show back instead with its original C4 format.

That way there was something for everyone with all genres catered for.

If CD:UK comes back in the same old format I won't be watching as it is nearly all for Mc$h!te, Pestlife & urban fans with the maybe the odd rock track and nothing at all for dance music fans.

Everything Cat Deely touches gets axed.

When Ant & Dec left and she was left on her own, the ratings started a downward path as it was nearly all Busted & Mc$h!te every week.

She was a presenter of Fame Academy & that got axed even though it was miles better than X-Factor.

Now the long-running stars in their eyes gets axed soon after she takes over.

If any TV station wants an excuse to axe a show, hire Cat Deely for 6 months.

GOD! Do you ever give it a rest?! I hate Westlife and I think a lot of urban music these days is drivel but please, change the record, you're beginning to sound very tiresome.

has she touched tom cruise's nose?

Is it still gonna be on ITV  Dave Berry is a dire tv presenter, there's a reason he got sacked...

Another vote for the Chart Show return here. There's no need whatsoever to have some presenting nobody introduce songs, the "high-tech computer graphics" of the chart show did the job perfectly.

Still, as long as they don't get Richard Bacon back on TV I'll take anyone.

The weekly music show format is almost dead though. I switched Top of the Pops off after three songs last night. Which re**** decided to show Ronan Keating's bland new song which I had to mute and then decided to revisit Mariah Carey for no reason whatsoever?

TV is in the worst state it has ever been in the UK, and it's largely due to the "choice" from Sky and other digital channels.

It's stupid that Dave Berry is going to be hosting it considering he was sacked from the ITV1 version. He was useless.

I'd rather it had just been Lauren Laverne presenting it without the other two, or perhaps Holly Willoughby. At least there'd be decent eye candy there.

that quiz show he does in the morning is so cheap think they must have to beg at the doors of big firms to get any prizes

Not dave berry :( is sidekick will be some channel 5 presenter prob.... the women off brain teaser?

Dave Berry didn't actually get sacked from presenting CD:UK. He was only a temporary host whilst ITV looked for permanant hosts.

Did it not occur to you that there's a reason he wasn't made permanent ;)
