so cool B) that it makes the superman trailer look like an old 1940s melodrama (and thats even with kevin spacey and the eye thingy :o )

 

starring jamie foxx, colin farrell and gong li, this is gonna be shot in the same style as Collateral by Micheal Mann (who also had something to do with the original show, think he created it)

yeah, was the exec producer and co-creator and also did heat which has been mentioned quite a bit recently in reviews for 36.

 

Collateral (also with Foxx plus Javier Bardem from the Sea Inside and you know who :lol: from the tomkat experiment :lol: ) one of my frontline dvds (not stuck at the back of my draw behind my socks :lol:) perfect to watch late in the evening (but not ay midnight as thats the bonkers hour :lol: :yahoo: ).

 

if you've not seen collateral you should be able to pick it up quite cheaply these days, well worth it!!!

well in cases like this, Emma Roberts, J-lo, Li-lo, JoJo, the Duffs, Billy Bob Thornton, Russell Crowe and his Grunts, all the millions of squzillions of rappers, Billie 'nearly 30' Piper, minnie driver (see below ) think we have to block music sidelines out of our minds (then again the diversion could be the acting :lol: :lol: ) and just focus on the films.

Saw it Sunday, not bad the fight scenes were very gritty & there was plenty of gore. Thought Farrel & Fox were good as the leads but i hated gong li, her english was appalling -_- . Overall i give the movie 7/10, enjoyable action scenes, but the plot was incomprehensible & plenty of dull moments between the shootouts & explotions

bored me. actually liked My Super Ex-Girlfriend better :o and that had the more dodgy trailer.

I went with some friends to see it at the cinema yesterday evening and I was foolish to trust their judgement, I found this to be pretty bad.

 

The storyline was ropey at best and I found it hard to follow, it dragged on so much and the only real action was towards the end.

 

Seriously below par I thought.

We were gonna watch this but we watched You, Me and Dupree instead. I take it I shouldn't get it on DVD then?

Took itself far too seriously and ended up being one giant cliche

Well, to be honest, I thought it was pretty okay. It came off like a two-hour episode of Miami Vice, the main thing wrong is some of the ropey dialogue and the fact that Colin Farrell is seriously miscast as Crockett - he seems to be doing a very bad impression of Don Johnson at times. It's even worse for Gong Li, who's a very elegant Chinese actress supposed to be playing a Cuban/Chinese drug baron... :wacko: ). It is incredibly humourless and pretentious and at times, totally incomprehensible (but then, so was the series really, if we're being totally honest..), but Mann's direction does hold it together, just. But if you're expecting another "Heat" or "Collateral", then obviously you're gonna be disappointed....
