Herzebanians are delighted with Helena Paparizou beating their personal best, and are going for a different angle in BJSC 10.

 

No national final, no long drawn out selection, this is the entry.

 

It is Gigi D'Alessio with "Non Mollare Mai."

 

A song in Italian, by a male artist, which is hardly contemporary, but it has a wonderful melody and tune, and some really nice moments in it. Even if you don't like this kind of thing, if you're a sucker for a key-change, this one will get your attention. :P

 

I should explain that after finishing top ten with Helena, I'm not looking for a good result for Herzebania this time around, and the 10th Contest is more of an experiment, to see if a song that is the complete opposite of what usually does well at the Contest, can be carried into the final based on a beautiful song alone.

 

It didn't work for Paolo in Eurovision....can it work here? Can the music truly speak for itself? This is the Contest where I aim to find out!!

 

And so here it is. And give opinions. Even if it gets nothing but negative reviews, I'm sticking to my guns and entering this: Non Mollare Mai by Gigi D'Alessio. Enjoy :)

 

Era Stupendo is one of my favourite songs of the year as you know Peter, so I will give this a listen tomorrow :D
