Posted July 23, 200816 yr Bands like the Beatles, Pink Floyd and maybe Queen continually evolve musically album to album, and other bands like Status Quo, Aerosmith, AC/DC don’t change much musically from each album. Which do you prefer? What bands change and evolve album to album, and what bands just churn out the same sound (even if its still good)?
July 24, 200816 yr bands that evolve, if they make a new album exactly like the last then whats the point.
July 24, 200816 yr bands that evolve, if they make a new album exactly like the last then whats the point. Obviously. The Beatles, Rolling Stones up to the end of Exile On Main Street (1972), David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Prince (in the 1980s), Kate Bush (although I'll pass a veil over the Red Shoes and make a compiliation from Tori Amos' Little Earthquakes, Bjork's Debut & PJ Harvey To Bring You My Love instead ), REM ........................... up to the likes of Radiohead today. That is why I get frustrated when people go out and buy the same old same old {insert rude word} by the likes of Status Quo, UB40, Westlife, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, etc.... and love it when the likes of Goldfrapp change their entire sound from album to album to confuse/shed some of their fans whilst gaining new ones.
