I agree- Better Man has been one of my favourite D songs ever since I first heard it :wub:

I don't like any of the remixes, it's just not the sort of material I like....from any artist! :huh:

I dont like If I Could because I think he wrote it when his heart was broken and he thought he was losing his Dad. In fact there are other songs from that era which give me the pip. Butterfly Spirit for one. I can't stand I would die for you because of the chants It sounds contrived What I cannot understand is that they filed Faith in Me into the same basket as in not good enough for an A side.

 

I think D ought to start up a panel of fans to hear his stuff before he decides on what to release.

The problem with that is, Darius will never be able to please everyone all of the time, as even the few fans posting on here seem to like/dislike different songs :lol:

 

It's actually really important to me, to feel that Darius is the one that gets to decide which of his songs he wants to release and in what format himself, he's the artist - so he should choose what he wants to express and how - I always believed that he did do - but since what has been said about Kinda Love, I'm not sure exactly how much say Darius has had in these things himself anymore :(

I've got them - I don't really think you're missing anything myself though, but I don't know, you might think differently - you can listen to clips of all Darius's songs in the Music - Lyrics section on This Website Here - the two 8-jam remixes are on there but not Colourblind Almighty Mix - which I think is the best of the 3. I'm not crazy about any of them really though :( - Actually, just been listening to the two 8-Jam tracks, the Rushes one isn't that bad - but that Colourblind one, I just really don't like it - that distortion-effect expecially :(

I must say, I really wouldn't let the remixes influence you regarding Darius' music. Listen to some of the album tracks, particularly from the Dive In album He might not be quite as good as Kylie to you, but some of his music might surprise you ;) enjoy :)

I happen to really like the remixes of 'Colourblind'.

I like the Almighty remix of Colourblind and play it occasionally. 8 jam's Rushes is better than CB but tbh it couldn't be much worse!

 

I'd rather have a raw basic lyric and melody songwriting demo as a b-side than any remix.

I happen to quite like the remixes, I quite like the electronically altered vocals on CB remix but I prefer the Rushes one, but it depends once again on your mood, nice to have three versions of them, acoustic - band and remix though - Better man is one of my favourites and I can listen to it endlessly -

 

Been on his website and there actaully some great songs. By the way thanks to some of u for posting your votes on the kylie forum. Hopefully I can get more darius fans hint hint lol.

It's my least favourite too but I've been listening to it again and I now think it's only the repetition of "

La petite mort" that does my head in. It just seems so unnecessary!

 

I just had to listen to Kilt With A Fly on .net again. I don't know if Alan and Darius respectively wrote the parts they sing or if they collaborated on the new lyrics but I still think it's brilliant... so funny.

 

Darius is a real sport and I think he gets the sound just right. Also I just adore his laugh throughout. He was obviously having fun.

 

Although I'm not keen on Darius singing covers because it's one less of his own he'll sing at that gig, I'd definitely like to hear him sing American Pie with its original lyrics.
