Smiley singer WY is on a one man crusade to help people by putting on a charity concert. Weill it certainly made us laugh Will's records are enough to make a grown man cry so we don't reckon that they will do much to cheer up the nation. The kind hearted croonerwhose twin brother Rupert suffers from the blues will count on celeb chums to help out. Will 29 told us "People don't like talking about depression but I am hoping to change all that if I can. Joking aside - we will be there ....In these freezing credit crunch times we'll be more than willing to give anything a try.

News reaches me on the showbiz grapevine that Will Young is lining up a show storming appearance at the Fate Awards. The Fate bash, in association with Carling, is already shaping up as one of the hottest showbiz nights on the calendar.

 

And as always i have the exclusive news on the really big names who will be hitting Belfast for the glitzy night.

My spies tell me Pop Idol Young is "90 per cent certain" to appear and will close the April 3 show at Belfast's Waterfront Hall with a spectucular performance.

 

My insider revealed: "Will is really keen to perform at the awards - he has heard what a big success they were last year. It's going to be an incredible night and Will is obviously a big name with plenty of star appeal. The plan is for him to attend the bash and then to perform at the end to send everyone home on a high. He's going to be making final arrangements over the next couple of days but the deal is almost done."

VIP guests will party the night away at an ultra-exclusive after-show bash - washed down with plenty of Carling no doubt.

 

And with my news that Will is plotting an appearance there's no doubt tickets will be at a premium!

WHAT a relief! A darker and rather reserved Will Young is promising "crazy nights to come" after his somewhat subdued 30th birthday celebrations.

Laughing off his mature, darker crop as he settled down to dinner with twin Rupert, he insisted: "I'm shooting a black and white video for my new single. I dyed it to stand out. I'll have a huge party when I get back". Now that's more like it old bean

 

Can't wait for this - a B/W video sounds moody. He's not done one since LMF.
