Thanks for bringing the GORGEOUS pic across. He does look to have lost weight in his face.

I think he still looks rather unwell. Very tired around the eyes. But it is a lovely picture.

I agree - he is probably not enjoying eating anything much at the moment. He'll put it back on later - so long as he takes it easy and doesn't try to do too much too soon.

So really he shouldn't be going out too much and definitely stop smoking Will! It must be the absolute worst thing he could do.

When I said it was a lovely picture, I meant that it was well taken and lit but it is not one of my favourites by any means.

I do hope the operation has stopped him smoking, but at the end of the day that's his decision.

I don't think he looks particularly unwell or thinner, perhaps a little tired. It's probably the angle the pics were taken from. I'm obviously in the minority as I'm not too keen on that last pic.

I agree. Anyone who has ever smoked knows it much easier said than done.

Lots of reports about Will - thanks to Vasil on D for this - don't know the source sorry:

Edit - source: http://www.xposureuncut.com/

Our favourite Pop Idol winner Will Young (we mean who else has the balls to say no to Simon Cowell?) has been having trouble with his voice since he had an operation to remove his tonsils.

Will had been suffering with bouts of tonsillitis and so had to go under the knife but he hasn’t been able to reach those ball breaking high notes ever since. He’s having to go back to basics and start all over again with the help of a top singing coach and with him due to sing at the Isle of Wight festival in less than a month we bet he’s worried. A source said:

“Will was worried about the effects of the operation before he had it because it’s a big deal for someone who makes a living out of their voice. He’s concerned his singing might not be the same again. He has had a croak and his range has been affected. But he’s got a top vocal coach helping him out and he is improving every day. Everyone is confident he will sound as great as ever by the time the Isle Of Wight festival comes around.”

We don't mean to voice our opinions but we reckon Will has the voice of an angel and so we have our fingers crossed that he'll be better soon, singing at the Isle of Wight with a halo around his head.

Hope he doesn't try to push things along too soon - he only had them out a couple of weeks ago! He can't be that worried though it hasn't stopped him smoking

A bit of sensationalising from the Sun:

Just bringing this over from the OS, Thank you to sheila.

Who found this in THE SUN, date, Saturday 5/16/09.

Will’s voice is wrecked by op, 5/16/09

POOR old WILL YOUNG. He’s not had much luck lately.

A few weeks ago he went under the knife to have his tonsils snipped out after suffering from recurring bouts of tonsilitis.

I always thought eating loads of ice cream was how you got better. Sadly, it’s not as simple as that.

Will has told friends he’s having a spot of bother with his prized vocal cords.

The Leave Right Now singer has had to go back to basics and is having singing lessons in a bid to get his voice back to its best.

Struggle

The Pop Idol winner was hoping his prized singing voice would be back to top form in no time.

But things haven’t gone to plan and a source tells me Will has been struggling to hit those high notes.

He’s due to perform at the Isle of Wight festival in less than a month.

I’m told: “Will was worried about the effects of the operation before he had it because it’s a big deal for someone who makes a living out of their voice.

“He’s concerned his singing might not be the same again. He has had a croak and his range has been affected. But he’s got a top vocal coach helping him out and he is improving every day.

“Everyone is confident he will sound as great as ever by the time the Isle Of Wight festival comes around.”

Will’s music is not up my street but he’s a top bloke with a cracking voice.

I know there are plenty of people out there who would be gutted if he didn’t perform next month.

The star is also worried about the impact this glitch will have on a planned visit to the US to try to raise his profile there.

He has told friends he wants to have a crack at America and is hoping this won’t jeopardise his plans.

Last night a spokesman for Will told me that everyone around the singer is confident that his operation will not have any effect on any of his summer live engagements.

He insisted that every time Will heads out on the road he has singing lessons to make sure his voice is in tip-top condition.

Will’s a determined lad — I bet he will be back to his best in no time.

Thanks BYM&Ms - it looks a bit like the theatre tour though. Maybe someone saw an old advert for last year's one, I've found what I thought was new news but was looking at a previous year. . But hope it's true.

A small mention of Chelsea in the Independent..

Quote:

[RHS members who receive discounted admission make up a substantial portion of the crowd. When the doors are flung open at 8am, though, the event will contain a variety of people, from council estate to country estate gardeners, from gamekeepers to lords of the manor. Some will have been drawn in by the televising of the show, just as TV highlights have popularised the Glastonbury music festival. Yesterday, Chelsea was open to journalists and celebrities. Some quintessentially English faces were at the preview day: Joanna Lumley, Stephen Fry, Sienna Miller, Paul Smith, Jools Holland, Will Young and Zac Goldsmith.

Thanks to Bumbling for this. :D
