Thanks for the updates girls.

A great article on Will HERE

Thanks to JanetL on Devoted for finding this gem.

Re the Heatworld article. Shame the Leicester Sound interview wasn't live. We seem to have been deprived of the babies and weddings references. I reckon Will's body clock is ticking - getting broody :P Loved all the comments on there - everything from "Yuk" to "Oh yes please"

Thanks for the Musicians Blog article munchkin.

What was the wedding reference?

Has any one else noticed how his x always gets a mention. I take it he's single at the moment.

Talking to Breakfast Show host Robin Banks, Will said, "I think if I had the right boyfriend, I think it would be good to have kids. It’s different now." The singer also chatted about what he's been up to over the past year, saying, "It’s taken over a year to produce this album and, after a break, it’s really nice to be working on music again." Will says he's been doing a spot of acting, as well as spending time at quite a few celebrity weddings.

I read it that he said this to Robin. Maybe he said it to Heat.

Thanks munchkin. I thought more may have been said.

TT - this is a different interview. Willsdoc over on D pointed out that this interview is with the Breakfast dj the other one last night was with J. Looks like there's another one out there ready to be broadcast. Hope it didn't go out this morning - if so then we've missed it. :(

How come? :???: Think they must have got that wrong - after all I don't "talk" very much.

Well done TT.

Thanks everyone for all the bits of info. I'm getting lost though with all these interviews, and especially as I can't get onto D to expand on some of them. :( I'll try again later.
Thanks for all these snippets, it's so hard to keep up with everything, updates, articles, downloads and interviews, my head's frazzled.

Will gets ready to have fun

Aug 15 2008

POP Idol winner Will Young may seem a surprise choice to perform at V but he reveals that his festival sets have been going down a storm.

‘‘They’ve turned out to be almost the best gigs I’ve done, they’re so much fun and the audiences have been great,’’ enthuses the 28-year-old, fresh from playing this year’s T In The Park.

‘‘Festivals are all about variety but people sometimes think the more popular artists won’t be at them.

‘‘I’m so pleased to go from winning a talent show six years ago to playing big festivals.’’

He adds that he’s looking forward to a good reception when he plays V’s Virgin Mobile Union Stage on Sunday.

‘‘Hopefully people will enjoy the songs and the honesty behind them,’’ he says.

Will has some new material to showcase thanks to a new single, Changes, and album, Let It Go, both set for release next month.

‘‘The single is inspired by personal experience. I was in a bit of a rut and it was on my mind when I went into the studio with co-writer Eg White so we said let’s write about it.

‘‘Writing about the changes I needed to make actually helped me get out of a situation where I felt trapped by my own actions. That really is songwriting as therapy!”

Will began work on the album a month after finishing a three month stint in the lead role in Noel Coward’s play The Vortex in Manchester.

‘‘Hopefully that won’t be my last theatre work because I absolutely loved it,’’ he says. ‘‘I think I can do more. It’s great to have another mini career.’’

Will also received acclaim for his acting in the movie Mrs Henderson Presents alongside Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins.

‘‘I’d like to do another film. Mrs Henderson Presents was a long time ago but I really enjoyed it and learnt a lot.

‘‘I prefer to be busy. It’s great to challenge yourself and do different things. As a singer I’m self employed which gives me the freedom to decide what I do next. But it can be hard squeezing everything in.’’

Music is currently taking precedence, with a UK tour visiting Birmingham’s Symphony Hall on December 7 and 8.

‘‘I last played Symphony Hall four years ago - I always enjoy Birmingham, it’s the place where tickets for my shows seem to sell really quickly.

‘‘I’d done two arena tours and two summers of festivals so I made a conscious decision to play smaller venues rather than arenas this time. And I think the new music will come over well in theatres.’’

Thanks sunday for bring that over. Nice write-up. I was particularly interested when he said " As a singer I’m self employed which gives me the freedom to decide what I do next". It makes it sound as if his latest contract is quite open-ended which, I think, is good.
Thanks for posting that great article sunday, I love how enthusiastic he is about everything this time, all must be happy in his world right now. :D

Thanks sunday.

His joy in promoting this album really comes over in all the articles & interviews. He's definitely in a far better place than when he released KO. Maybe he was rushed with the last album & therefore wasn't totally happy with the material he was putting out. Loved hearing him say in one of the radio interviews that the singles were carefully planned & would be those he's written. Then again it was always likey having co-written 11 of the 13 tracks.

Thanks sunday

Sorry I've not been over before - I've been trying to catch up over on D :w00t:

Channel 4 has confirmed a stellar line-up of artists for its 4Music Presents… series over the late summer and into the autumn.

Channel 4’s head of music, Neil McCallum, has commissioned Eyeworks UK to produce a series of one-off specials, which will include acts from the UK and international music scene to premier as 4Music Firsts on the 4Music channel, as well as repeats on Channel 4.

Among the artists booked for the shows are The Verve, Alicia Keys, Kings Of Leon, James Morrison, Will Young, Sugababes, Snow Patrol, Pink and Coldplay.

Each show will include live performances, mixing catalogue and new material from each artist or band, while presenters such as Miquita Oliver, Steve Jones, Alexa Chung and George Lamb will be on hand to conduct interviews.

“The shows offer viewers a unique showcase to the featured artists and we’re proud to offer them as part of our music programming,” says McCallum. “With the shows going out on 4Music, we’ve made our music even more accessible for our viewers.”

Thanks sunday, that's brilliant, a whole show with an interview as well.

Thanks Sunday  So that's teo Channel 4 places for him to promote. Looking forward to this one - seems a bit like the live Album Chart Show at KOKO they did a few years ago. Is that still going.

Thanks sunday. The perfect vehicle for Will to showcase his new music. :cheer:

Great line up for Will to be listed with but no more than he deserves. :D

I wonder if it was Rupert was away in Arizona that Will was doing the promo for Keep On. He would have been so worried about his brother at the time - who wouldn't?
