edit: Sorry should have read it properly - I meant for his music. It's 18 months since I last saw Darius, but I don't have this sense of impatience/missing seeing him thing that some of you have. It's the music that matters to me, so I was thinking in terms of that when I voted, that's what I want most of all, I'll wait for as long as it takes for that - not much choice, other than to do that anyway ;) :D

I don't know how long it will take for his new stuff, but I am happy to wait just a few weeks to go and see him in the West End in London again

I say I'm happy to wait for Darius as long as it takes and as far as the album is concerned, that's true. I want an album that feels like Darius. I want his vision and creativity and those things can't be rushed. I don't want him to feel pressurised to deliver it on someone else's schedule. I thought that was why he didn't want to sign a new distribution deal.

 

For this poll I voted "desperate to see him perform again", because I am. My dream? A Maidstone type gig - just Darius and another guitarist or pianist but he'd only sing his own songs....... all those he's never sung for us before album tracks from Live Twice, the b-sides and Right Girl Wrong Time. I'd pay a small fortune for that!

 

Re him coming back for Chicago, you lot ought to pay me to book holidays. Every time I go out of the UK, I miss something he does. I should be used to it, I suppose. I'm hoping I'll be back in time to catch his last night.

 

I think it's Chicago that made me so impatient this time round. It just underlined for me what an amazing talented guy he is and I was really lucky I saw at least 2 shows a month.

 

When you think about it we've had more stories in the media, more pictures of Darius looking happy and relaxed etc. than we've ever had in any 3 months he's been away before and still we're all impatient (except SS). That's Chicago!
